Conservative group targets Walter Jones in new web ad

The Alliance for America's Future, a Virginia-based conservative group, has begun running a web ad criticizing 3rd District Rep. Walter Jones of Farmville.
The ad, entitled, "What happened to Walter Jones," criticizes him for never visiting the troops in Afghanistan or Iraq even though he serves on the House Armed Services Committee.

It also says that while Jones declares that he is a conservative, he only has a 67 percent rating from the American Conservative Union. It also accuses him of voting for against budget cuts. The ad can be viewed at www.allianceforamericasfuture.com.

The ad is a likely prelude to a challenge to Jones in the GOP primary next year.

Conservatives always eat their own

Once again, if a conservative isn't conservative enough, they will be removed---by their own right wing.
This is how groups that can be reasonable, that can voice cogent comments and have productive, compromising discussions, become fringe extremists groups.
One would think that the T-Party would have gotten the message last election day. But some groups are just plain uneducable....
