James Carville practiced his shtick at the Young Democrats convention Saturday.
The so-called "Ragin' Cajun" said although the Democratic group was celebrating its 80th anniversary, he had to be fair and note that the Young Republicans were older.
"The Young Republicans were founded in 1924, when John McCain was their keynote speaker," Carville said.
Later, Carville asked the audience if he was joking too much.
"Y'all want to have some fun?" he said. "The hell with all this political business, huh?"
More of Carville's jokes after the jump.

Carville also targeted President George W. Bush, discussing a meeting with the new president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy.
"(Bush) looked the new French president in the eye and said, 'The problem with the French is you don't have a word for entrepreneur.'"
(Note: That's an urban legend. It usually is attributed to a meeting between Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair, but the respected debunkers at Snopes.com have said it's untrue.)
Carville also joked that ACC rival Clemson University had to call off its nativity scene this year.
"They couldn't find three wise men or a virgin," he said.
Carville also said he enjoyed working on election night and looking at the exit polls. Among the Democrats, he said pollsters look at different ethnic groups among Democratic voters.
"They go to the Republican poll and say old white guys did this, and really old white guys did that," he said.
