Campaign confirms dropout

RALEIGH—Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards will drop out of the presidential race today in New Orleans, the campaign confirmed Wednesday.

The decision came after Edwards had lost his first four contests in the nominating process, Rob Christensen reports.
