Bush campaigning in Missouri

President Bush is also campaigning for a Missouri gubernatorial candidate.

According to the Springfield News-Leader, Bush will appear at an Oct. 3 fundraiser for Republican candidate Kenny Hulshof in St. Louis.

That would undercut a claim in a new ad by Democrat Beverly Perdue that Republican Pat McCrory is the only gubernatorial candidate who has had Bush campaign with him.

In Perdue's defense, the article about the fundraiser appeared on Thursday.

You can add this to the tally of distortions, half-truths, mis-statements and outright lies Negative Bev tells in her negative television ads. Boy, she is getting desperate as she continues to sink in the polls. Guess she has to do something to avoid talking about her failed record as Lt. Governor and the pattern of corruption that marks her entire political career.
