Burr heads west for recess

After spending the first week of his recess in Eastern North Carolina, U.S. Sen. Richard Burr is heading west.

Burr, a Winston-Salem Republican, will start his week with a Monday morning speech to a group of real estate agents in Charlotte.

He will then join Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan and two members of the Obama administration - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Education Secretary Arne Duncan - for a town hall forum in Hamlet.

Later in the week, Burr will speak to the Union County Chamber of Commerce, tour Tyco Safety Products in Monroe, speak to the N.C. Veterans Affairs Summer Conference in Asheville and visit the Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

I have deleted GiggleBox's comment.

I am still waiting for the moderator on this blog to ban gigglebox. But I doubt that will happen. It seems that journalism is dead and his blather just proves it.

Re: Burr heads west for recess

GiggleBox, I don't think I have read a nastier piece of work in a long time. Can't you just comment on the actions of Sen. Burr without bringing his wife into it in a vile manner? And they say that Republicans are the party of personal destruction; after reading what you write I am even more convinced that it is the leftwing liberal Democrats that practice personal destruction. Grow up and try to frame an argument on logic rather than on knee jerk leftwing liberal democrat talking points. Did your mother not teach you manners?
