Weiss. Garrou. And add Rep. Edith Warren to the list of North Carolina Democrats who announced today they won't run again. Warren, a retired educator, has represented Pitt and Martin counties for seven terms.
House Minority Leader Joe Hackney had this to say about her:
“Eastern North Carolina has had no stronger ally in the House of Representatives for the past 14 years than Edith Warren. Her passion for the people of her district and her region drove her to help build East Carolina University into the economic engine it is today. She fought for the farmers and others in the agricultural industry and as a leader in education policy, she helped every child in this state in some way. We will miss her and wish her well in retirement.”
