Democratic Congressman Mike McIntyre may have voted against "Obamacare," but that is not preventing Republicans from going after him on the subject.
The GOP will begin making automated calls in McIntyre's 7th district Tuesday, criticizing him for trying to tear down Medicare as part of the Democratic health care plan passed last year by Congress with the backing of President Barack Obama.
“I'm calling from the National Republican Congressional Committee about your Congressman Mike McIntyre's plan for Medicare,” says the recording.
“McIntyre and President Obama's plan threatens to deny treatment for seniors in Medicare by allowing bureaucrats to interfere with their doctors,” the announcer says. “Worse, McIntyre's budget plan lets Medicare go bankrupt – that'd mean big cuts to benefits.”
“Call Congressman McIntyre at 202-225-2731 and tell him to stop endangering Medicare,” the recording says.
