Wednesday deals (June 22-28)

The big news at the grocery stores this week is obviously the Super Doubles promotion happening at Harris Teeter. In case you missed it,  check out my good deals list here. In addition to Super Doubles, Harris Teeter has some outstanding BOGO sales.
The best of the rest:  Aldi has some pretty impressive deals on fresh fruit, including cantelope for 99 cents each and peaches, plums and nectarines for 69 cents per pound. Lowes Foods has got a good deal on toilet paper and a killer deal on Pantene hair products. And Food Lion is continuing its "Big Deal" promo, which includes 75-cent 2-liter Pepsi products again.

At Food Lion:
The “Big Deal” promotion continues this week, taking $5 off your order when you purchase 10 participating items. Mix and match. But you must buy 10 items to get the discount.
Here are a few of the "Big Deal" products that caught my eye:

Hormel Compleats Kids: $1.66 - $1/1 (5/8 Smart Source) - Big Deal discount = 16 cents, a very good deal.

Pepsi 2 Liter sodas: $1.25 - Big Deal Discount = 75 cents each, a stock-up price! I did this deal last week and stocked up for summer birthdays and picnics. I just might do the deal again this week.

Oscar Mayer Meat Weiners (16 oz., select varieties): 2/$5 - $1/2 coupon (6/19 Smart Source) - Big Deal discount = $1.50 each.

Pop Tarts: $2. Buy 2 - $1/2 blinkie coupon found in stores across the Triangle - Big Deal discount = $1 per box.

All liquid detergent: $2.99 - $1/1 coupon (6/5 Red Plum) - Big Deal discount = $1.49, a very good deal.

Keebler Fudge Shoppe cookies: $2 - Big Deal discount = $1.50.

Scott toilet paper (4 rolls, select varieties): $3.49 - $1/1 (5/22 Smart Source) - Big Deal discount = $1.99. This deal will work only if the Naturals variety is included in the sale.

Other deals:

Nabisco Chips Ahoy! cookies: BOGO - $1/2 coupon (6/19 Smart Source).

Kraft salad dressings (16 oz): $1.50 - $1/2 coupon (6/19 Smart Source) = $1 each when you buy 2.

Texas Pete hot sauce (12 oz): $1.19 - .40/1 coupon (5/1 Smart Source) = 79 cents.

Deals without promos or coupons:

Boston Butt Pork Roast: $1.87/pound.

Ground chuck: $2.48/pound.

Store-brand chicken breast halves or tenders: BOGO.

Blueberries (pint): $2.

White mushrooms (8 oz., whole): $1.79.

Bing cherries: $3.99/pound.

Store-brand ketchup (24 oz): 77 cents.

Store-brand potato chips (10.5-11 oz): $1.

Smart Option freeze pops (12 count): $1.

Solar Radiance sun screen: BOGO.

Cool Whip: $1.

Kraft mayo or Miracle Whip: BOGO - $1/2 coupon (6/19 Smart Source) = $2.15 each when you buy 2.

Pantene hair products: BOGO for $3.79 - $3/2 coupon (6/19 Smart Source) = 79 cents for two. Wow. A super price.

Texas Pete hot dog chili sauce: 50 cents each - .50/3 coupon (5/8 Smart Source) = 17 cents each when you buy 3.

Texas Pete wing sauce: $2 - .40/1 coupon (5/8 Smart Source) = $1.20.

Fiber One bars: 2/$5 - .50/2 coupon (5/22 Smart Source) = $2 each.

Mayfield ice cream is BOGO or $2.10 each.

Thomas' NY Style bagels: BOGO or $2.25 each.

Doritoes (11-12 oz): BOGO or $2 each.

Large slicing cucumbers: 50 cents each.
