Wednesday deals...

Just a friendly reminder that this is one of those weird weeks for grocery stores. Rather than following their usual sale cycles, the sales from last week are still in effect for Lowes Foods, Harris Teeter and Food Lion. The sales for Harris Teeter and Lowes are good through Thursday of this week. And Food Lion’s sales from last week are good all the way through Tuesday, Dec. 1. To see all those deals, see last week’s post here.

Lowes did issue a small little five-day sale flier in today’s paper that has sales good Friday through Tuesday. We may see a similar type thing from Harris Teeter later this week.

Otherwise, I’d say it’s just an average deals week. Unless you still need items for your Thanksgiving feast, there aren’t too many deals to be found. But don’t worry. With Black Friday weekend approaching fast, I am sure there will be great deals soon.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Deal of the week: At Rite Aid this week, Angel Soft 4 packs are 99 cents and there was 50-cent coupon on Sept. 13. That’s a 49-cent pack of toilet paper. Wow.

Click “Read more” to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

Re: Wednesday deals...

Also at CVS, they have M&M bags buy one at $3.00, get one free. This is good on the Christmas Mix bags (I believe the sizes are 9.9 oz. to 12.6 oz). Based on their regular prices, you could save up to $4.98 on 2 bags. Offer is good through Saturday, Nov. 28.

Re: Wednesday deals...

Answered you on Facebook, but here it is for everyone too.

So, if you have a BOGO sale and a BOGO coupon, it will work one of three ways....

1) The BOGO sale will get you one for free. Then the coupon will get you the other for free.
2) The store will require you to still BUY one, so you will have to do a buy one and then get one free with the sale and one free with the coupon. A buy one get TWO free, in essence.
3) Some stores will be hard-nosed and make you buy two to get two free.

Unfortunately, it's what couponers call a YMMV (your mileage may vary). Depending on the clerk and manager on duty, sometimes you get different interpretations of what you can and cannot do. Best thing to do is try it with two (ie, try to get scenario one) and see what they tell you. But they may make you do it one of the other ways.

Boy I hope that made sense!
