Wednesday deals...

Not surprisingly, we continue to see drug stores push back-to-school sales this week. Look for the BOGOs (buy one get one) and deals that are even better than that, like buy one get two. There are some pretty amazing bargains on basic items.

Also, this is a hot week to watch out for the annual sales on Kellogg’s items that always come around back-to-school time. Remember that there’s a $10 mail-in rebate from Kellogg’s called the Fuel for School promotion. The trick is that you have to buy 10 qualifying items in one transaction. If you’re planning to participate, note that there’s going to be a one-day Kellogg’s sale at Kroger on Thursday. Or, wait a little longer, as this Sunday’s coupon inserts will contain a bunch of coupons good on qualifying products.

Finally, this week, there are a couple hundred coupons getting ready to expire on Friday. Read carefully this week, since there are several cases where I noted a deal that involves a coupon that expires on July 31.

Deal of the week: At Rite Aid this week, Herbal Essences products are two for $6, and there’s a $2 Single Check mail-in rebate when you buy two. Then you can use the BOGO coupon from Sunday, which should take off $3, making that a great deal at two for $1.

Click “Read more” to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

Re: Wednesday deals...

Just wanted everyone to know that Harris Teeter is offering "Triple Coupons" again for the entire week. Usually, it's only 3 days, so this gives us more time to collect our coupons. Don't forget the limit of 20 coupons per day per customer. I'm sure there are some good deals out there.

Happy vacation Sue! Hope you are enjoying your time off but please hurry back. I miss your Wednesday deals...

Re: Wednesday deals...

Hmmmm, looks like there may be two versions of this coupon out there. Good catch! Sorry for those who have the B1G a styler free... though that might still be a good deal if you get two for $4 after the rebate plus the free styler...

Re: Wednesday deals...

If I recall correctly, the BOGO coupon on Herbal Essences was buy one shampoo/conditioner or hair care product and get a hair care product free. So, it doesn't seem to apply to, say, a shampoo and conditioner purchase, but to, say, a shampoo and frizz control purchase. Did anyone read that differently?

Re: Wednesday deals...

Kroger also has boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.79 a pound. That's the cheapest I've ever seen them, including when HT did the b2g3 sale a few months back. It's a good opportunity to fill the freezer!

Re: Wednesday deals...

Thanks. Now we just need to wait for Sunday's insert!

Re: Wednesday deals...

Great question! The online flier says that promotion has an end date of 8/8

Re: Wednesday deals...

Do you know if the Kroger P&G deal will still be good on Sunday when they issue a new circular?
