Wednesday deals...

It’s a lighter deals week with retailers coming away from the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t some deals to be had.

As usual, there are several deals and special pages in this week’s sales fliers highlighting deals on Procter & Gamble products. Those sales match up nicely with the coupons issued on Sunday, so now would be a good time to stock up on some of those items. There are also just a lot of good deals this week on shampoo and other bath/beauty products.

Deal of the week: At CVS this week there’s a steal on Head n Shoulders shampoo. The shampoo is on sale for $4.99 and there’s a $2 Extra Bucks rebate this week (limit three per household). You can also use the BOGO coupon from this past Sunday. So you’d pay $4.99 x two ($9.98) and then get the $2 Extra Bucks rebate x 2. Then subtract the $4.99 for the BOGO coupon and your final price will be 99 cents for two bottles.

Click “Read more” to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

At Lowes Foods:

Lowes issued a new batch of store coupons with this morning’s flier. As always, I remind you to grab them and save them since they are good all the way through July 28. Also, remember that you can “stack” those store coupons with a manufacturer’s coupon for double savings! Here are some good deals using those coupons… they pretty much all had to do with pets this week, so it may be a good time to stock up:

*Temptations cat treats are $1.39 with the store coupon and then you could use the 50-cent coupon from June 7, which will double to make those 39 cents.

*Purina One cat food is $6.49 with the store coupon and then you can use the $3 coupon from June 7 to bring the price of that bag all the way down to $3.49. Purina One dog food (the big 18 lb bags) are $17.99 with the other store coupon in the bottom corner of the page of coupons, and you can use the same coupon with that.

*Friskies dry cat food bags are $3.49 with the store coupon, and you can make that $2.49 with the $1 coupon from June 28.

*Pup-Peroni is $2.50 with the store coupon and then you can use the $1 coupon from June 7.

*Purina Busy Bone products are $2.50 with the store coupon and then there was a $1 coupon on June 17.

*Mighty Dog is 10 for $6 and there was the coupon for one FREE can on June 14. Of course, it would be free anyway, but the reduced price means you will probably pay a penny or two less in tax (you are still responsible for tax on free items).

*Spot Shot stain remover is $3.99 and there was a 55-cent coupon on April 5 that will double.

*Pedigree food for dogs 20 lb bags are $10.99 and there was a $1.75 coupon on June 21.

Then if you flip the page of coupons over, there are more sale prices that are good all the way through July 28.

*Tidy Cats litter (14 lb) is $5.99 and there was a $1 coupon on April 26.

*And there are also quite a few of Lowes own Paws brand pet items on sale this week, both with coupons and with the month-long sale. Take a look to see if any of the items interest you.

And in the regular weekly Lowes sales flier (These prices good through Tuesday, July 14):

*Tyson chicken bagged products are $7.99 and there have been a couple of Tyson coupons, both on May 31 and May 10. Plus there were some on March 8 if you still have those coupons.

*There’s a deal this week where you get $3 off instantly at the check out when you buy five participating Kellogg’s, Keebler and Sunshine products.

****Also, just a heads up that you may want to use this sale to make your qualifying purchase for the Kellogg’s Fuel for School rebate offer. The purchase window on that deal started on July 6, so this would qualify. I am going to post more about this specific rebate later today. But you have to purchase 10 qualifying items (including many in this deal) all on one receipt. If you want a jump start, you can find the rebate here. If you are not registered for Kellogg’s site, you will need to register before it lets you access the form.

*General Mills cereals are two for $5 and there were a couple of coupons including the $1 off two Cheerios on June 14 and the $1 off three GM cereals on June 28.

*Finally, Lowes has kindly detailed all of the matchups with P&G items using this past Sunday’s coupons for you on page three of your weekly flier. I don’t think there are many that are amazing deals. But take a look if you are interested.
