Wednesday deals...

Well, it’s the Fourth of July, so most retailers have things that you’d expect on sale this week. It’s a good time to stock up on hot dogs and buns for this weekend, and it’s also a good time to buy cheap condiments, paper plates, cups, etc. If you host a lot of events, I'd buy a lot so that I have them for later in the year. They are pretty cheap this week and on sale just about everywhere.

There’s also a big push this week by stores to promote their store brand items. CVS, Kerr, Rite Aid and Lowes Foods all devoted a good amount of space in their fliers to promoting store brand items. So, if you are a fan of generics, you may want to look closely this week since there are some good deals on those as well.

Deal of the week: Just in time for summer grilling, Lowes Foods has A1 marinades on sale BOGO (buy one get one free) this week. If you have a couple of the $2 coupons from June 14, that should be FREE.

Click “Read more” to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

Re: Wednesday deals...

Thanks for the tip about the Penguin board. I look for it about twice a
year and the coupons are quite helpful. About the Kroger cheese, you have
to buy 5 to get them at $.99 otherwise they are $1.24. You could use 3 or the coupons from the penguin board and get 6 packs for $2.97. That will
save you a few more cents. The Oscar Mayer Meat weiners you must buy ten
packs to get them for $.99.

Re: Wednesday deals...

Good point... The Penguin coupon display is back in stores now, folks... I forgot to mention it. Most stores have it in the frozen food aisle. And for those who have no idea what I mean, there's a big cardboard cut out display that looks like a penguin that shows up every year around Frozen Food Month. It has a whole bunch of tearpads with coupons ....

Re: Wednesday deals...

Kraft 12oz singles are .99 at Kroger this week. At the Harris teeter on Edwards Mill Rd, near the refrigerated juices, there is a tear off coupon display, which includes one for $1.00 off when u buy 2 Kraft cheese products. so that would take the price of 2 pkgs of Kraft singles down to about .50 per pkg when u use that coupon at Kroger.
