Wednesday deals...

Well, March is Frozen Foods month (you had no idea, did you?!?). So stores are rolling out their big deals on everything frozen.

There are also some good deals on Procter & Gamble products again this week. Remember to save your receipts on those purchases if you plan to do the Year of Savings promotion, or if you plan to submit for the $15 Olay rebate when you buy three qualifying Olay items.

Other than that, items of note this week include the big meat sale at Lowes Foods, the new batch of Lowes Foods store coupons that was issued this morning in the store flier, the buy two get three deals at Harris Teeter, and the continued push of weight loss products and diet items.

Deal of the week: It's pretty hard to NOT go with free vegetables on weeks when the sales and coupons align. I know it’s something that pretty much all of you can use. This week at Lowes Foods, Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables are 97 cents with the store coupon in today's sales flier. Then there was a 50-cent  manufacturer's coupon on Feb. 7 that you can use on top of the store coupon. That will double to make those FREE. Remember Lowes will only double four of those coupons in one transaction.

Click "Read more" to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

At Lowes Foods (These prices good through Tuesday, March 9):

*Lowes is having a big meat sale this week, with chicken breast, round roast, pork chops, ground beef, ground turkey and Tennessee Pride sausage all on sale for $1.97 a pound. It’s a good time to stock your freezer if you’re low on meat.

*All laundry detergent is $2.99 and there was a $2 coupon on Feb. 7.

*There are a number of Gorton’s items on sale BOGO (buy one get one free) and there have been Gorton’s coupons on Jan. 3, Jan. 24 and Feb. 21.

*Land O Frost lunchmeats are $2.99 and there was a 55-cent coupon on Jan. 31 that will double.

*Dannon Activia and Danimals are $2 and there were $1 coupons for both on Sunday.

*Contessa frozen dinners are BOGO and there was a $2 coupon on Jan. 31.

*Green Giant frozen boxed vegetables are $1 and there was a 60 cents of three coupon that will double on Feb. 21.

*Eggland’s Best Cage Free Eggs are $2.50 and there was a 35-cent coupon that will double on Jan. 31.

As always, Lowes also had a couple of special Fresh Rewards deals. (To read about the Fresh Rewards program and how it works, click here):

*Buy two Keebler 100 Calorie Right Bites packages and get $1 in Fresh Rewards. (This is a good deal. Use two of the 75-cent coupons from Jan. 10, which will double and you pay $2 out of pocket and get the $1 in Fresh Rewards back!)

*Buy two Honey Nut Cheerio, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms or Total Raisin Bran for $8 and get $2 in Fresh Rewards.

*Buy four Palermo’s pizzas at $4.99 each and get $4 in Fresh Rewards (but these are buy two get three free at Teeter this week).

*Buy three bags of Lowes Foods shredded cheese at $2.99 each and get $3 in Fresh Rewards.

*Buy one Lowes Foods ketchup at $1.49 and two bags of Lowes potatoes for $5 and get $2 in Fresh Rewards.

*And buy one Lowes Orange juice for $2.49, one Lowes white eggs 18 count for $1.99 and one Lowes bacon for $2.50 and get $2 in Fresh Rewards.

And then on top of all that, Lowes also issued a new sheet of store coupons in today’s flier. These are great because they are good for the whole month (in this case through March 23). And because they are store coupons, you can actually double them up with a manufacturer’s coupon for a double discount. If that coupon doubles, then it’s a triple discount. Here are some potential deals using those coupons.

*Sunny D is 99 cents with the store coupon. Then add the 25-cent coupon for Feb. 7, which will double, and that will be 49 cents.

*Dannon Light & Fit single serve yogurt cups are 33 cents each with the store coupon. Then add the $1 off 10 coupon from Feb. 21 and it will be $2.30 for 10 of them.

*Sargento shredded cheese is $1.49 with the store coupon and then you can use the 40 cents off two coupon from Jan. 31, which will double and make that $2.18 for two bags.

*DEAL OF THE WEEK: Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables are 97 cents with the store coupon and there was a 50-cent coupon on Feb. 7 that will double to make those FREE.

*And there are a bunch of Lowes Foods brand products with store coupons, including sour cream, frozen potatoes (great for a double dip if you are doing the Fresh Rewards deal this week) and Lowes foods butter for $1.77.
