Wednesday deals...

Well it is a pretty good deals week out there! If you're near the new Harris Teeter at North Hills in Raleigh, swing by for some $1.99 per gallon milk (deal is only for that store). Or you can pick up a couple of items for FREE after rebate/coupon this week. Of particular note are the Quaker oatmeal deal at Target and the Nabisco cracker deal at CVS.

Deal of the week: But this week I think I'll offer a practical deal of the week for all the guys out there. At Rite Aid, Russell Stover boxes of chocolates are $3.99, which you can make $2.99 with a $1 coupon from Dec. 13. Add in some roses (Whole Foods usually has a TWO dozen for $19.99 deal Valentine’s week), and you could have a very nice showing for about $25.

Also one more note this week: In response to some requests from some readers, I've decided to start including my Wednesday Deals list each week as a Word document as well as posting the full list here. That way those of you who like to print the list will have an easier time of it (though I warn you, it is pretty long). You'll now find a link to the Word version of the list at the bottom of each week's post.

Click "Read more" to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you'll need it to get the sale price.

At Lowes Foods (These prices good through Tuesday, Feb. 16):

*There’s a coupon on the inside flap of the front cover of this week’s flier to get a free Valentine’s card when you buy two… just in case you are buying a few cards.

*Yoplait yogurt cups are 49 cents each and there was a 40 cents off six coupon on Sunday that will double.

*Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Raisin Bran Crunch and Mini Wheats are $1.58 and you could use the $1 off three coupon from Sunday.

*Dannon Activia and Light & Fit are $1.99 and there were coupons for both on Sunday.

*Okios yogurt is $1 and if you still have the $1 coupon from Jan. 3, that makes it FREE.

Lowes did something new in this week’s flier… instead of putting its latest store coupons in a “wrap” around the front of the flier, it hid them on an inside page. So be sure you don’t miss them. Remember they’re good for several weeks (in this case, through March 2) and they are also able to be paired with a manufacturer’s coupon for a double discount.

*Pledge cleaner is $3.49 with the store coupon from today’s flier and then you can use the $2 off two coupon from Jan. 10 to make that $2.49 each.

You buy four and use four coupons and pay $2 out of pocket and then get $2 back in Fresh Rewards… pretty good deal!)

*Buy any two Stouffer’s entrees at $5.99 each and get $3 Fresh Rewards.

At Harris Teeter (prices good through Tuesday, Feb. 16):

Well first let me say that Harris Teeter REALLY wants you to come check out the new North Hills store. Wrapped around my regular HT flier this morning was a special ad just for that store. Among the “doorbuster” deals: 80 percent ground beef for $1.28 a pound, King Crab leg clusters $4.99 a pound, bananas for 29 cents a pound, and (hold onto your hat) gallons of milk for $1.99 each.
