Wednesday deals...

Well, it’s a kind of funny deals week out there.

There are some great BOGO (buy one get one) sales on meat if you need to stock up. And Walgreens and CVS are both offering you a great opportunity to score a big deal on Tostitos and Pepsi products if you use the sale and a rebate to get some of your purchase price back. There are a couple of really good FREE after coupon items, including Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables, which are FREE in a lot of places this week.

Deal of the week: I think I have to go with the mega sale at Harris Teeter this week. See the HT section below for the full explanation, but basically there is the opportunity to roll sale prices, an instant discount on your current order, an "on your next order" discount offer and coupons (that double) all into one amazing deal. The sale is huge. There are probably thousands of possible deal combinations out there. If you feel like sharing yours, please do!

Click "Read more" to see the list! And remember, if the store has a loyalty card, you’ll need it to get the sale price.

This week at CVS (good through Saturday, Jan. 23):

*CVS also has a version of the Tostitos and Pepsi deal this week. At CVS, there are two separate deals. These deals require the combination of a couple of things, but bear with me. So, this week if you buy six fridge packs of Pepsi for $20, you get $10 back in an instant rebate through the Extra Bucks program. (If you are unfamiliar with the ExtraBucks program, click here.) Or, if you buy $20 in Pepsi 2 liters or Tostitos chips, you get $10 back in Extra Bucks. Then if you buy $20 worth, you can submit that rebate I blogged about a few days ago and get $7.50 back on top of that!  Or, if you’ve bought $30 worth, you get $10 back. Re: Wednesday deals...Harris Teeter catalina

On the GM deal (buy 15 get $5 off instantly) at Harris Teeter, I just learned about a catalina that will sweeten the pot a little more. If you buy old el paso taco sheels, dinner kits, seasoning, refried beans or Heat and Serve side dishes between 1/25 and 2/2, you will get a On Your Next Order coupon good for Chicken or Beef. If you buy 3 packages, you'll get a $1 coupon, if you buy 6 packages, you'll get a $3 coupon. I found a coupon for the "heat and serve" varieties on coupons.com, but I don't see them listed on the flyer for the buy 15 get $5 off.

So, I think I'll wait until Monday to get my Old El Paso items (6 of them), and my Betty Crocker fruit snacks (5 of them), and 4 other cheap items.
