Taco Bell gets even cheaper...

USA Today reported this week that Taco Bell is preparing to roll out a new budget menu on Monday touting items priced at 79 cents, 89 cents and 99 cents. The "Why Pay More?" value menu is obviously aimed at budget-crunched folks who are watching their money closely, and I guess I'd say every little bit helps!

For the jingle, you mean this one? :)

Re: Taco Bell gets even cheaper...

Well, it's nice that it's cheap and all, but do you ever wonder what quality of meat (and other products) they must be using to make this math work:

Cost of ingredients + Cost of shipping to store + Cost of labor + Restaurant expenses + Profit Margin = 79 cents!

Yikes. I'd almost rather pay the full $1.

Finally! I remember they used to have something similar to this back in the day, but it may have been 59, 69, 79. I think I remember the jingle they used to play during that promotion as well.
