Super Doubles are coming back!

I went to the store on Capital Blvd today & they are participating. I used Mfg coupons, internet print coupons and at least 1 catalina from Kroger (not sure if that counts as a competitor coupon or not). I haven't completely assessed it, but I believe I had $150 worth of stuff & paid $55, which included a $5 barbie outfit splurg for my daughter :)

The Kmart in Durham off of 15/501 is participating in Super Doubles. I went today on my lunch break to find many other individuals with stacks of coupons in hand so hurry over. But..... checking out at Customer Service was a nightmare! The clerks had no idea about the promotion which was incredibly frustrating. I had to TEACH them the super double rules again incredibly frustrating! Receipt was wrong, some coupons didn't double so I had to wait another 10 minutes for a refund. In the end I picked up $97.31 of items for $24.00 which included a lot of guilty pleasure Glade items. Sooo... I guess the hassle was worth it.

Does anyone know if the store in Cary is participating?

Here's a first-person account about seeing the flier advertising the sale at the Garner store on Hot Coupon World... 

I was going to go a bit out of my way to the Super K in Garner if the information is correct.

The website doesnt have any information at all nor does the super k flyer.

I still do not know which stores are participating. Ugh. But the folks over on savvydollar.org report that the one in Garner and the one on Six Forks Road in Raleigh are participating and the one on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh is not. Now, that's just what they have said. I have not confirmed it. But they usually have pretty good info.

And on the doubling question from rachaelcyr, no... it would be nice it if worked that way. But if you have a $3 coupon it will be worth $3. Anything over $2 will not double at all.

I'm going out Wednesday, and headed that way - any new news on if this will be happening in the Raleigh stores??

Does anyone know what happens when a coupon is over $2.00? What happens if I use a $3.00 coupon? Will it double to $2.00 for a total of $5.00 all together? thx!

Price Chopper (at least the Massachusettes stores) has coupons weekly where you can double up to $3 coupons. Glad to see we're getting some of those great deals down here as well.

Wow, that may actually convince me to set foot in a K-mart for the first time in years (not that I have anything against Kmart, I just never think to head there).

Frankly, superdoubles sounds like an even better deal than HT's triples, especially given HT's inflated prices.

I miss the days when Kroger used have super doubles. Hasn't happened in years, but they used to double coupons up to a value of $2, so a .75Q became 1.50, a 1Q became $2, and a 1.50Q would become $2. It was a good way to use a lot of the higher value coupons.
