Ship BBQ from afar...

My husband is from Chicago, and I have been known from time to time to order flash frozen deep dish pizzas from his favorite pizzeria at home. Well, if you have a friend or family member living somewhere else who misses Carolina barbecue, now you can do the same thing. Smithfield's Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q has started a barbecue by mail service on its Web site. Like the pizza, the barbecue is flash frozen, packed on ice and shipped out to fans. A five-pound shipment is $39.95. It's barbecue only right now, but I'm told the sides are coming soon. Orders ship out every Wednesday and must be placed by 5:00 pm Monday of the same week. You can find out more on the Smithfield's Web site, www.smithfieldschickennbarbq.com.

We are not from Chicago, but LOVE Gino's East pizza. For our anniversary one year we had one of their pizzas shipped to us. It was wonderful!

Here's another place you can get N.C. barbecue shipped. The 'cue from here with vinegar-based sauce is awesome!
