Is Craigslist a retailer?

By the traditional definition, Craigslist isn't a retailer. It has no stores. Its service is free. If you asked most people, they'd say it's an online clearinghouse of classified ads.

Or would they?

When BIGresearch asked more than 8,600 consumers in June which Web sites they shop most often, the California company showed up at No. 25 on the list. Amazon was No. 1. You can read more about the survey here. But I'm wondering what you think. Do you consider Craigslist to be just another shopping site? And how often do you use it to find items?

Did you know that NC democrackkks now want to copy Taxachusetts AGAIN and

implement a PET TAX on you and your animals?

Re: Is Craigslist a retailer?

No, its not a retailer, but this smells like someone asking this question wants to tax them or make them report income so that they can be taxed. It might even be that the Newspaper industry is upset about their lost revenue, I mean why would someone pay the N & O $50.00 for a 10 day add with 3 lines when they can advertise for free on Craigslist. Had the newspapers not been so greedy Craigslist might not have ever caught on.

Re: Is Craigslist a retailer?

No, it is just a place for classified ads which happen to be free to post.
