How's this for an economic indicator?

Research firm IRI is reporting that frozen pizza sales are up 5.3 percent over this time last year, largely (experts say) due to more people eating at home rather than eating out. The companies that make those frozen pizzas aren't stupid, either. There has been a near explosion of new frozen pizza products, from California Pizza Kitchen, gourmet chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and existing pizza companies introducing new products. Just something to think about next time you pop a frozen pizza into the oven to bake...

Re: Frozen pizza sales on the rise...

i only wish the could make all the packaging like the Tombstones ... I can't fit the ones that come in square boxes into my freezer.
Calling to order pizza every Friday was the first thing to go when we started tightening our belts ... I was spending about $30 each Friday for pizza delivery ... and we think the CPKs from the freezer taste better and are cheaper -- plus we eat when we want!
