Midwestern sandwich chain Jimmy John's has signed on for a spot in the new City Plaza in downtown Raleigh. To celebrate, the company will be giving away FREE sandwiches on Thursday. The store will be located at 437 Fayetteville St., on the south end of the Fayetteville Street Mall. The event will start off with an announcement from Mayor Meeker and then the handing out of free lunch. It begins at 11:30 a.m. The actual store will open late this year.
