Wednesday deals...

Well, it’s just a decent deals week out there, I would say. But that’s not too surprising with retailers coming down from the big Easter week and there being no coupons this past Sunday.

There are still plenty of cereal deals out there this week, most notably on Kellogg’s and on General Mills items ($4 off four at Lowes). The pharmacies have a few free after rebate items you could pick up as well.

And just a head’s up for next week: expect to see a lot of sales on “green” products in honor of Earth Day.

Wednesday deals...

Well, with Easter coming up, it should be no surprise that things like ham are on sale this week. But it’s also a really good chance to stock up on some other items.

Breyers ice cream is buy one get one free (BOGO) at a lot of stores this week. If you buy at Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods and use the 75-cent coupon from Sunday, it will double and make for some pretty cheap ice cream. Likewise, you can get a pound of butter for less than $1 at both of those stores this week using the 55-cent coupon from two weeks ago for Land O Lakes and matching it with the sales this week.

At the pharmacies, allergy medication continues to be a pretty hot deal this week as the pollen count rises. And there are a number of beauty products that are good deals this week as well.

Deal of the week: At Rite Aid, there’s a deal on John Frieda items this week where you buy four for $20 and then receive a $10 Single Check Rebate by mail. If you add in four of the $2 coupons from Sunday, that means you’d wind up paying 50 cents each.

Wednesday deals...

Well after a week of triple coupons, this week is promising to be a lot more quiet.

But there are still some good deals to be found! This is a good week to stock up on cereal if you like Cheerios. There are also still some Kellogg’s cereal sales floating around this week. There are some free-after-rebate items at the pharmacies this week, and there were also quite a few BOGO deals and buy two get one free type deals.

And finally, you will probably want to go through your coupons at some point in the next few days. There were nearly 300 coupons that expired on March 30 or March 31.

Deal of the week: At Lowes Foods this week, Breakstone’s sour cream is BOGO, two for $1.99. There was a 55-cent coupon on Sunday that will double. That will make it FREE! I especially love this deal because it’s a second chance at free Breakstone’s sour cream. After this coupon came out on Sunday, I couldn’t find any Breakstone’s sour cream at Harris Teeter for the rest of the triple coupon promotion!

Wednesday deals...

Well folks, it’s official. Harris Teeter is hosting one week of triple coupons starting today. But there are lots of good deals at other stores as well this week. It’s a good week to stock up on Kellogg’s cereal, allergy medicine and vitamin products. They are on sale in a lot of stores!

And just a reminder that there are a few hundred coupons expiring on March 31, so this will be your last weekend to use them!

DEAL OF THE WEEK: Since I have seasonal allergies, I’ve got allergy medicine on the mind today. So for this week, I’m going to go to CVS, where there’s an interesting deal on Zyrtec. CVS is selling a twin pack of two 30-count bottles for $37.99. You get $8 Extra Bucks back on that and could use the $4 coupon from Feb. 8 too. So all told that would be $24.99 for 60 pills. This could be a really good deal if you have some Extra Bucks to redeem, which would bring your total down even further.

If you have no Extra Bucks to use at CVS, you may consider the deal over at Walgreens this week, where 60-count bottles of their generic form of Zyrtec (Wal-Zyr) are on sale buy one get one free, or two bottles for $23.99.

Wednesday deals...

It’s a pretty good deals week out there, especially if you are willing to buy now to stock up on items.

This is also a week where you will really benefit from planning your shopping trip in advance. There are a lot of really good deals, but you need the right combination of coupons and sales to maximize your savings.

Lowes Foods put out a new batch of store coupons that are good for three weeks. Combined with the right manufacturer’s coupon, some of those can make really good deals. Harris Teeter is running some more of those crazy deals, including a buy TWO get THREE free ice cream deal. (Do you have room in your freezer?) And Kroger is continuing its special sale where you get $5 off when you buy 10 qualifying purchases.

Deal of the week: At Lowes Foods, Frosted Flakes are on sale for $1.25 a box when you use the store coupon from this morning’s sales flier. Then if you have the 70-cent coupon good on any Kellogg’s cereal from Feb. 22, that will double and make that totally FREE. Brand name cereal for free? Sounds like a deal of the week to me…

Wednesday deals...

I’d say it’s an OK deals week.

The sales on Easter candy have started, so you could begin stocking up on that if you need to.

There are also a few special sales this week, including the big $5 off 10 qualifying items sale at Kroger and a special Friday sale at Lowes Foods where you can get $13 off your purchase of $100 or more (you need the coupon in today’s flier!)

Other than that, there are some good deals elsewhere. Garnier products are on sale in a lot of places, and in some cases, they are pretty close to FREE. And it seems like a good week to stock up on cereal. It’s on sale just about everywhere!

Deal of the week: At Lowe’s Foods this week, you can get a FREE gallon of Lowes Foods milk when you buy three Kellogg’s cereals (Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes or Raisin Bran). Those are on sale three for $9, and if you have three of the 70-cent coupons from Feb. 22, those will all double and make your grand total $4.80 for three boxes of cereal and the gallon of milk. That’s a pretty good price.

Wednesday deals...

It is a very decent deals week out there with lots of possibilities.

Make sure to take a look at the pharmacy sales, since many of the pharmacies have items that are totally FREE after rebate this week.At the grocery stores, the rush is on to celebrate Frozen Food Month, so look for a lot of deals in the frozen food aisle.

And make sure to check out the buy TWO get THREE deals at Harris Teeter and the new round of three-week store coupons at Lowes Foods.  For the next three weeks you can get a gallon of milk at Lowes for $2.48, and that’s a fine deal. There are also special sales at Kroger and Food Lion this week.

Deal of the week: As I said, there are plenty of items that are totally free after rebate this week at the pharmacies, but I think that for deal of the week, I’m going to pick the deal on Carolina Pride smoked sausage at Lowes Foods, since saving on meat is a tough thing for a lot of folks. The sausage is BOGO (buy one get one free) and there was a $1.50 off two coupon on Feb. 22. That should make it about $2.19 for two, which is a fine deal.

Wednesday deals...

It’s a fine deals week out there, and there are lots of opportunities to put the coupons from the past few weeks to good use. I especially like the Nature’s Pride bread that is on sale buy one get one free in a couple of places. With Sunday’s 55-cent coupon doubled, that all adds up to some pretty cheap bread. If only I had a bigger freezer…

Also be sure to check out the Kroger 10 for $10 deal this week and the items that are free after rebate at Rite Aid.

Happy shopping!

Deal of the week: I’ve been waiting for a good chance to use the Milk Bone dog biscuit BOGO coupon from a few weeks ago, and Lowes Foods has provided me my chance. This week Milk Bones are on sale for $3, so with my BOGO coupon, I’ll get two boxes for $3. At $1.50 a box, that beats the price on most store brand dog biscuits and it’s way below the normal price of $4 or so for Milk Bones.

Wednesday deals...

Well it’s a decent deals week out there, I’d say, though there’s nothing too extraordinary. Since there were no coupons in this past Sunday’s paper, there aren’t any new coupons to match up with deals. But a lot of this week’s deals do match up with the coupons from Feb. 8.

If you participate in the various pharmacy rebate programs, there are some good deals on items that you can make either free or almost free using the rebate and the right coupon.

And Harris Teeter continues to run some really aggressive promotions, including some buy one get TWO free and buy two get THREE free deals this week.

Deal of the week: At Rite Aid this week, Speed Stick and Lady Speed Stick are four for $9 and there’s a $5 Single Check Rebate when you buy four. Then if you had four of the 75-cent coupons from Feb. 1, that would work out to 25 cents per deodorant. That’s a good deal!

Wednesday deals...

Well, with Valentine’s Day coming up this weekend, a lot of space in this week’s ads was devoted to things like flowers and candy. So I would say there are fewer deals than normal on regular grocery items.

That said, there are still plenty of deals. This is a very good week for deals on some medicines and also on P&G products. There are a few deals at the pharmacies that make Gillette razors free or almost free. And it looks like we are finally getting a break on the price of milk. A couple of stores have gallons on sale for $2.99 this week.

There are also a couple of special sales this week. Lowes is having a 13-hour sale Friday night, and Kroger is also having a special event sale Friday. Make sure you read carefully so that you don’t miss any good deals!

Deal of the week: This week I’m headed to Rite Aid, where GE Energy Smart bulbs are two for $4.50 with a $1.50 Single Check rebate when you buy two. Then you can also use two of the $1 coupons from Jan. 4 to make it $1 for two and a great deal.
