Wednesday deals...

I am still on vacation, so I don't have a list of deals for you this week.

My usual list of Wednesday deals will return next week on Aug. 13.

For this week, however, if you feel like sharing some of the deals you've found, I am sure your fellow shoppers will appreciate the help!  Whether you have a single deal to share or feel like doing a list of deals for an entire store, fire away...

I am still on vacation, so I don't have a list of deals for you this week.

However, if you feel like sharing some of the deals you've found, I am sure your fellow shoppers will appreciate the help!  Whether you have a single deal to share or feel like doing a list of deals for an entire store, fire away...

Wednesday deals...

It’s a decent deals week out there. The grocery stores don’t have a ton of deals, but there are some very interesting ones. Check out Lowes’ three-day sale, including $2.99 gallons of milk. And check out Teeter’s senior discount on Thursday of this week and the buy one get TWO free deals. It’s a really good week to buy cereal on the cheap almost everywhere. There are free after rebate photo books at the CVS photo center. And, if you need new disposable razors, there are some good deals thanks to that Schick buy one get one coupon.

Deal of the week: There aren’t a whole lot of freebies this week, so I think we have to go with one of the few money-makers this week. At Rite Aid, Electrasol is on sale for $2.99 and there’s a $2 Single Check Rebate. Then if you use the $2.25 coupon from Sunday, you could end up making $1.26 on that deal. That’s only good on the 2in1 tabs, I believe…

Wednesday deals...

Well, as usual, on weeks when there’s a P&G Brandsaver coupon insert, there are lots of Procter & Gamble items on sale. A lot of stores are running special P&G sales, which reward you for buying certain quantities of P&G products. There are also just a lot of good deals out there, when you combine this weekend’s coupons with the sales this week.

There are also some other good deals out there… There are a ton of deals on pet stuff this week. Lowes has a good 10 for $10 sale on and has also issued a new batch of store coupons filled with pet item coupons. Keep your eyes peeled for FREE and FREE after rebate items. There are a bunch of them this week, particularly shampoo.

Deal of the week: This week let’s go with some of that free shampoo. At Rite Aid, Infusium 23 is $4.99 and there’s a $1.99 Single Check Rebate. Then you can also use the $3 coupon from Sunday to make that FREE.

Wednesday deals...

Well, happy early Fourth of July, everyone… This week, hot dogs, chips and soda are not surprisingly on sale. And there are some other good deals out there, too. Remember, if something’s nonperishable and a really good deal, this would be a great time to stock up!

Deal of the week: There were definitely some contenders this week. Daisy sour cream is free at Lowes if you have the right coupon. You can get two boxes of L’Oreal Natural Match hair color at Walgreens for $3 this week. And Harris Teeter is running the same deal on California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas that was the deal of the week last week.

But this week, given the amount of food we’re all going to eat this weekend, I think I’m going to go with the Maalox deal at Food Lion. The 12 ounce bottles and the 65-count chewables are on sale for $2.99, and there was a $2 coupon for both on June 1. At 99 cents, that’s a great deal.

Wednesday deals...

It is a very interesting deals week out there! Harris Teeter has a few of those buy two get three and buy one get two types of deals. CVS has a really good deal on paper towels and toilet paper this week if you have the right combination of coupons and sale prices. And there’s the potential for a really cool buy one get two free deal on Tylenol and its generic Rite Aid brand at Rite Aid. Plus, of course, there are some free after rebate items at the pharmacy and some free after coupon items everywhere else. Happy shopping!

Deal of the week: I think this week I’m going to go with the California Pizza Kitchen for One deal at Lowes Foods. The single-serve pizzas are on sale for $2.50, which is already a good price. Then there were 75-cent coupons on May 4 and again on June 1 that will make those $1 each after doubling. $1 for a frozen pizza is a pretty good price…

Wednesday deals...

Well, it’s a pretty good deals week out there! There are lots of good deals at the grocery stores and the pharmacies this week. Oral B CrossAction toothbrushes are free at Walgreens this week (after rebate) and there are a few other good free items at the pharmacies this week. If you take Alavert, this would be a good week to stock up at CVS. Lowe’s Foods has a big buy one get one free sale going on, and it could be a good week to stock up on things like condiments and hot dogs for your July 4 barbecue.

Deal of the week: Since July 4 is coming up, I think I’m going to choose the deal on Hebrew National hot dogs and Coke this week at Harris Teeter. The hot dogs are already on sale buy one get one free. If you have two of the 75-cent coupons from May 18, that’s already a pretty good deal. But then there’s also a coupon in today’s Harris Teeter flier that will give you an additional $2 off when you buy two Hebrew National hot dogs and a Coke product. In all, that should work out to just a couple of dollars for all three products.

Wednesday deals...

Well, it’s a pretty decent deals week this week. And there are some unusual special offers and coupons. Keep an eye out for the free after rebate things at the pharmacies.

Deal of the week: I bet a lot of people have been hesitant to try those new clinical strength deodorants because they’re like $8 each. Well here’s your chance to try one for free. At Rite Aid this week, Right Guard Professional Strength is on sale for $5.99 with a $5 Single Check Rebate. Then there was a $1 coupon on May 18 that would make it FREE.

Wednesday deals...

It’s a really good deals week out there, with lots of free items and free-after-rebate items at the pharmacies. Check out the Rite Aid section for some really good deals on shampoo. And check out the super stellar deal on Pampers at CVS this week. If you can, try to find one of the new coupon displays that have been popping up in our area stores. They tend to be in the frozen food or dairy aisles and are part of a promotion with the new Kung Fu Panda movie. There are some good coupons on that display that could come in handy this week if you can find them.

Deal of the week: This week, it was a tough call. But I chose the Gillette razor deal at Target, which is my favorite triple-play of a sale, a rebate and coupons. Here’s how it works. Gillette Fusion Power and Venus Embrace razors are $9.44 this week, and you get a free $10 Target gift card when you buy two. Then if you use two of the $4 Fusion coupons from Sunday, you’ll end up paying $18.88, minus the $10 gift card and minus the $8 in coupons for a grand total spent of 88 cents. That’s a good deal.

Wednesday deals...

Well, coming off the big holiday weekend last week, it is only an OK deals week this week, especially at the pharmacies. But that’s OK. There are still some good ones.

Also, I would encourage you all to take a look through your coupons… something close to 200 of them will be expiring on Saturday.

Deal of the week: I think this week we’ll go with the Pert Plus deal at Lowes Foods. This is your last chance to use that Pert mail-in rebate from February, and this deal combines the magical triple play  of a sale, coupons and a rebate. Here’s the deal:

Pert Plus shampoo plus conditioner is $2.99, which you could make $1.99 with the $1 coupon from May 11. If you also have a second $1 coupon and the BOGO mail-in rebate from Feb. 24, you could buy the two bottles at $2.99, subtract the two $1 coupons and then get the price of one bottle back by mail. That means that in the end, your two bottles of shampoo would cost 99 cents. (Note that you have to make your qualifying purchase by May 31).
