Just a reminder for those of you who wanted to do the Kellogg's Fuel for School rebate.

The purchase period ends on the 30th, and most of the coupons in the Aug. 2 Fuel for School booklet/coupon insert expire on Sunday. Now's the time to make your qualifying purchase if you have not already!

If you have some copies to make, hold off until Sunday. That's the day Staples will launch a big promotion on both color and black and white copies.

Through Nov. 14 [wow!], Staples will give a 50 percent rebate on all color and black and white copies. To get the rebate, you must be a member of the Staples Rewards program, but it's free to join. Be sure to read the fine print on how the program works.

So, for instance, 100 single-sided color copies would be $49 regularly. But with this deal, you'd get a $24.50 Rewards bonus back. That's a good deal.

If you are doing a home improvement project, this would be the weekend to buy paint at Home Depot.

The retailer is offering a $5 rebate on all one-gallon cans of paint and $20 rebates on five gallon pails of: BEHR interior and exterior paints and primers, decorative finishes, waterproofers, stains and cleaners; Glidden interior and exterior paints; Ralph Lauren paints and specialty finishes; and Freshaire Choice paint.

You have to purchase by Sept. 7 (Monday) and the offer is not valid on America’s Finest, SpeedWall, SpeedCote, UltraHide, Glidden Porch and Floor, Gripper and PVA Primers, Professional Finishes, Glidden Standard Flat Ceiling Paint, Glidden Stucco & Masonry Paint.

This month, Rite Aid has issued a special four-page flier that compiles all of its back-to-school related rebates in one place. You can save on all kinds of items from notebooks to paper to pens.

The back-to-school rebates are part of the normal Rite Aid Single Check rebate program, meaning you have until Aug. 29 to make the qualifying purchases. But a smart shopper would probably spring into action during the upcoming state sales tax holiday that is coming up. That way you get your rebate and you don't have to pay tax.

Olay is offering a $20 rebate when you purchase $50 in facial cleansers or moisturizers between July 10 and Aug. 9. With the new Procter & Gamble coupons from today's paper, that might be a good way to save more on your qualifying purchase if you wanted to participate.

The Fram company is offering a $4, $5, or $6 rebate when you buy an air filter and an oil filter. The amount of the rebate depends on the type you buy. You can download the form below, and you have until the end of September to make the purchase.

There's a $3 rebate on Pyrex metal bakeware out there that could help you bring down the price of a new cookie sheet, loaf pan or other bakeware item.

You even have until the end of November to make the purchase.

If you've got someone in the house who's good with cars, you might want to take advantage of this mail-in rebate offer on spark plugs.

You can get a rebate on as many as 16 spark plugs, up to $32 back. See the form below for specifics on how much you get back for each kind of spark plug. But do note that you need to submit the UPC codes from the packaging and all the qualifying items must be purchased on one receipt. The deadline for purchasing is Nov. 30.
