Free lemonade at O'Charley's...

O'Charley's restaurants are offering free strawberry lemonades to all guests in honor of Administrative Professionals Day tomorrow.

The drink is made with fresh-squeezed lemons and hand-cut strawberries and normally retails for $3.49. It is available to all guests, not just administrative assistants. But the offer is for dine-in customers only.

Free coffee for volunteers...

Sisters Catering in Raleigh is honoring Triangle volunteers this week with a free coffee offering on Tuesday and Wednesday. On those days, Sisters will be open from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for FREE coffee and breakfast breads. All you have to do is tell the folks at Sisters where you volunteer.

Also, starting in May, Sisters will be open for morning coffee on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. You can find the business at 2400 E. Millbrook Road.

Reminder: free food tomorrow...

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Free Scoop Day at Ben & Jerry's.

Local B&Js stores will be giving free single scoops from noon to 8 p.m.

Also, tomorrow is the day that Dunkin Donuts stores will be selling 50-cent cups of iced coffee.

It is definitely not a calorie-counting kind of day! 

Free dry cleaning...

Galaxy Dry Cleaners is promoting its green dry cleaning methods for Earth Day by offering free dry cleaning from April 20 through April 24.

Galaxy uses environmentally friendly solvent, recyclable and biodegradable bags, recyclable paper hangers and eco-friendly detergents. Galaxy stores also have a hanger recycling program.

For the promotion, customers can have one item dry cleaned for free up to $10 in value. The offer is good at any of the three Galaxy locations. You can find them on the company Web site here.

A giveaway at Cold Stone...

Man, I don't know what it is about the end of April, but there sure are a lot of food freebies! Here's another one...

Cold Stone Creamery stores in the Triangle will be giving away sample of its new iced coffee with any purchase on April 25. The locations in Apex, Cary, Durham, Garner, Raleigh and Smithfield, which are all under the same ownership, will also be sampling other products stocked in those stores from a company called Uncle Bob’s Nuts.

More (almost) free ice cream...

Baskin-Robbins has named April 29 its annual 31-cent scoop night.

The event is a fund-raiser for the National Volunteer Fire Council's National Junior Firefighter Program.

Scoop shops will sell regular 2.5 oz. scoops of ice cream for 31 cents from 5 to 10 p.m.

And, just a reminder: Ben & Jerry's is doing free scoop day on April 21 from noon to 8 p.m.

Free ice cream May 12...

Mark your calendar for May 12, when Haagen-Dazs stores will be handing out free scoops of its Bee-Built ice cream... sounds yummy.

The promotion will run from 4 to 8 p.m.
