Wal-Mart Supercenters will be doing its annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, providing free frozen treats to shoppers. Treats will include Ben and Jerry’s Flipped Out Cup ice cream, Blue Bunny Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Bars and Dibs Snack Bags. The event will run from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. at participating Supercenter stores. 

For those of you who live near a Friendly's restaurant, Free Ice Cream day will be back on June 6. Between noon and 5 p.m., Friendly's restaurants will give customers a free one-scoop dish or cone.

The promotion was introduced last year, when Friendly's gave away more than 300,000 cones. This year, it's expected to be an even bigger tally. Boy I wish we had one in the Triangle... 

If you've always wanted to check out BJ's but didn't want to sign up for a membership, the company is offering a free 60-day trial membership.

Unlike some of these free trial coupons, I do not see any fine print about having to pay an additional 10 percent surcharge to use the clubs.
