In addition to the free dinner Golden Corral is giving away to honor veterans on Veteran's Day, the Hair Saloon for Men in Cary will be giving away free haircuts to American war veterans and active duty personnel on Monday, Nov. 12. Qualifying people can stop by the store at 3675 SW Cary Parkway (next to The Fresh Market) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call (919) 481-9886; appointments and walk-ins are welcome. And, yes, women are welcome, too, though the saloon does not do color or any other such services. 

Heading the freebie listing for today is Taco Bell, which will be giving out free crunchy tacos tomorrow (Tuesday) from 2 to 5 p.m. The giveaway is part of a promotion Taco Bell was running during the World Series. If a player sucessfully stole a base during a game, Taco Bell would give away tacos. A base was stolen, and so we all get free tacos. Go to any store tomorrow between 2 and 5 p.m. and ask for yours. Retail value is 77 cents. Of course, if you want to buy two tacos, or a soda, or something else, I'm sure the folks at Taco Bell will raise no objections.
