Well there were more than 200 coupons in this morning's paper! We had a P&G Brandsaver insert, a Red Plum, a Smart Source and a second little Smart Source that had another $20 in coupons.

Today we had both a Red Plum insert and a Smart Source insert, and there were some good coupons. I don't remember ever seeing a BOGO coupon for Milk-Bone dog treats before... anyway, they are all added to the database. With so many coupons having expired on Jan. 31 and rumblings about Harris Teeter tripling coupons later this week, I would definitely take some time to organize my coupons over the next few days!

Well... there are roughly 225 coupons in today's Sunday paper, in a total of five inserts (though some are definitely thicker than others). That's quite a few coupons! But there's no doubt that we needed them after the mass expiration on Dec. 31.

At any rate, today's coupons have been added to the database. As always, you can download the new version in Excel below if you wish. Also, remember that in weeks when there are multiple Smart Source or Red Plum inserts you can find out which one I've designated "SS1, SS2, etc" by clicking on "Insert Key" at the top of the database.

How nice to find more coupons than I expected in this morning's paper! There was just one coupon insert — the P&G Brandsaver. But in addition to that, check your Parade Magazine and also look for the smaller four-page glossy insert from Kroger. Each contained about half a dozen coupons for various items. (Do note that sometimes advertisers will choose to distribute some coupons to certain areas and not others, so if you don't see the Parade coupons or the Kroger insert, it could be that your area was not chosen for distribution.)

One final thought today: there are something like 300 coupons expiring on Dec. 31. It might be a good time to look through your coupons to see if there's anything you want to use in the next few days.

Due to the coming Christmas holiday, there were NO coupon inserts in today's paper. And while we're at it, there will be no coupons in next Sunday's paper either. If you're ever in doubt about which coupon inserts you should have received in your Sunday paper, you can always check out the coupon insert schedule over at Taylor Town Preview.

But even though there are no coupons today, there are tons of sales fliers. If you haven't finished your shopping yet, check out the fliers from your favorite stores. There will probably be some pretty good deals...

I also wanted to highlight two things in the P&G insert. First, there was the mail-in form for that $120 coupon booklet offer I mentioned earlier this week. Be sure to clip it out if you plan to do that deal.
