Former Gov. Bev Perdue, a fellow at the Harvard University Institute of Politics, published a blog item on dealing with end-of-llfe issues using the death of her dog, Zipper, as an example of the importance of talking about the topic.
Perdue probably didn't mean to use Zipper as a direct correlation with elderly people, as Zipper was euthanized.
While at Harvard, Perdue is leading a weekly study group on social policy entrepreneurship.
