A tour of the new HT...

I've just returned to my desk after taking a little tour of the new two-floor Harris Teeter that will open in Raleigh's North Hills tomorrow morning.

The new 45,000-square-foot store is definitely an expansion and improvement on the old small HT in North Hills.

Southwest fare deal is back...

If you've been looking for a deal on a plane ticket, you might want to check out the new Southwest fare sale.

Prices start at $39 each way. So it would be possible to get a round-trip ticket for some flights for around $100 even including the taxes.

You have to book by midnight Pacific Time on Feb. 11 and the offer is good on travel from March 15 to May 25.

North Hills HT opens tomorrow...

For those of you who have been axiously awaiting the new two-story Harris Teeter at North Hills in Raleigh, you have just one more day to go. The new HT will open at 8 a.m. tomorrow following the ribbon cutting ceremony.

If you shop at the old store in the "main" part of North Hills, be advised that it will close its doors at 6 p.m. tonight.

Raleigh salon Bottega is hoping to raise $2,000 for Doctors Without Borders by hosting a cut-a-thon on Sunday, Feb. 14.

For a minimum $25 donation, the salon will give dry cuts for men, women, and children with all
proceeds going to the charity. Cuts will be done on a first
come-first served basis. If you plan on attending go with clean and dry hair.

If you bought a Sharp Aquos TV between New Year's and now, I sure hope you still have the receipt.

Bud has issued a mail-in rebate on the Aquos line, good for $50 to $300 back, depending on the size TV you purchased.

The rebate comes loaded onto a prepaid Visa gift card, but that's as good as cash. You can use those cards like a credit card anywhere they accept Visa.
