There will be no more nighttime and weekend lane closings for the I-40 repair job in Durham County, NCDOT engineer Eben Miller says. This should be the last online and email I-40 Worrier update.

Tonight: Weather permitting, Lane Construction Corp. will reduce WESTBOUND I-40 to one lane from NC 54 (Exit 273, Chapel Hill) to US 15-501 (Exit 270, Chapel Hill and west Durham) from 8pm to 6am. EASTBOUND travel is not affected.

This weekend: Weather permitting, Lane Construction Corp. will reduce parts of WESTBOUND I-40 to one lane each night, so crews can install imbedded reflective pavement markers that won't get kicked up by snow plows next winter.
