U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield, a Wilson Democrat, is in Copenhagen for the U.N. Conference on Climate Change.
Butterfield joined the U.S. congressional delegation because he is vice chairman of the subcommittee on energy and the environment within the Committee on Energy and Commerce, Barb Barrett reports.
The 20-member, bipartisan delegation will meet with representatives from key countries involved in the negotiations and also with advocacy and business leaders to discuss job creation. The group left for Copenhagan on Thursday and returns this weekend.

December 20, 2009 - 11:51am — GiggleBoxRacism is never irrelevant. We just have to ask ourselves if we want to go back to Jesse Helms thinking, or give these people access to a blog.
I say the latter precludes us from ever going back to the former.
So I thank you mrclean and company for reminding us who we don't want in power.

December 20, 2009 - 10:49am — MalleusMaleficarumButterfield should certainly be in Copenhagen. Butterfield is a leading member of the Energy Committee and he definitely needs to be there - as a matter of course. mrclean's comment is meaningless along with those of ConMax and SaintPinehurst.

December 19, 2009 - 9:51pm — SaintPinehurstDiscussing job creation within the context of a "cap and trade" conference? Seems like a long way to fly for an oxymoron.

December 19, 2009 - 1:31pm — ConMaxI agreed! However since when has the Democrats corner the market on corruption? It appears that there is serious senior moments witin the Republican party about their recent politics in the last 8 years......
