Thirty-eight public officials did not turn their financial disclosure forms in on time.
More than 500 did not file with the State Ethics Commission by the original March 15, 2007, deadline. They were then given another month to send in the forms, which are designed to prevent conflicts of interest on state boards.
Among those who did not turn them in by mid-April: Five members of the Governor's Advisory Commission on Persons With Disabilities, three members of the N.C. School of the Arts and three members of the Western North Carolina Regional Economic Commission.
Others were with Nash, Brunswick and Isothermal community colleges, the Respiratory Care Board and Elizabeth City State University.
A complete list of the late filers is in the attached document.
