Kitchen table is saying about as original as wanting CHANGE.

Plus this gentleman is running against Bruce Lightner the chairman of the RWCA and the Honorable Dan Blue. I hope this doesn't hurt dan but I want him to get it.

Re: Who will replace Sen. Malone?

The Raleigh Wake Citizens Association is a community organization dedicated to helping the African American people of Wake County improve their quality of life through advocacy in the areas of business, education, health and politics. We welcome you to our website and invite you to join us at our regular meetings on the third Thursday's at Roberts Park Community Center.

That above is directly quoted from their web site. I take issue because this group made zero attempt to see what kind of candidate I was when I ran for House 33 against Dan Blue. And the comments made by Mr. Lightner in this newspaper proves that he has zero interest in working with me for the common interest of ALL voters in Senate district 14.

I call for a special election after the RWCA chooses the districts new State Senator. Anyone who has the interest of the people in this district has to find it appalling that a single minded interest group will determine their State Senate representative for almost the next two years.

Re: Quick Hits

Holding officials responsible for their actions isn't hate, it's law-and-order conservatism. And it isn't just the left that wants those officials held responsible: According to a February USA Today/Gallup poll, large majorities of Americans want warrantless wiretapping and torture investigated.

As for Democrats being implicated, if in fact they are, I say prosecute them, too.

I just threw up a little.

“I’d love to co-sponsor every piece of legislation with Ted Kennedy,” said Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.). “When Ted says he’s going to do something, he’s committed to it.”

I do not wonder now why on the left there is so much hate. But I sense the witch hunt about the supposed torture legal opinions and actual interrogations will result in the prosecution of Barney Frank and many other Democrats should the Republicans gain power in 2010 or 2012.

Why would the outgoing governor have anything to do with the new governor's inauguration? No big deal, just seems curious to me.

Kay Hagan, Bev Perdue, and Walter Dalton must all know something that the rest of don't. Appears they don't want their picture taken with one Barack H. Obama, candidate: President, party: Democrat.

Wonder what African-american voters in our state think about that?

If we are to take your "The Associate" argument to its full conclusion, that means that John McCain should be President since he has been there the longest and not an up-start junior Senator from New York.

The tone of your post reflects DIRECTLY on Obama. Feminism is not a matter of backlash. It's a matter of a MAJORITY of which every black woman is a member.
Obama recalls the smartly dressed antagonist in that Whoopee Goldberg film The Associate. Whoopee Goldberg plays a hardworking female executive who gets "passed up" by slickly tailored junior male assistant. Female voters should take a good look at that movie before voting for the 2-year junior senstor from Illinois.
