This just in: Josiah Turner was expelled in 1880.

Still working on that. I like that you guys always assume I know.

I based that on this sentence, from a May 4, 1996, article by the Associated Press on then-Rep. Ken Miller:

The House Ethics Committee, which rarely meets and has not expelled a House member in more than 100 years, last year spent months devising the complex set of rules.
