Obama has endorsed Perdue for a reason...her PHD in education can't do a thing for a 30% drop out rate under Bush's misadministration. Check into every other state and see what their drop out rates are. I'm glad you don't agree with everything McCrory says b/c his idea of change in education is to take the calkalators (his pronunciation...see debates) out of elementary schools. He is so out of touch that the fact that his sister is a teacher is his resume and the closest he's been to a school since he graduated (he did graduate, didn't he...sometimes I wonder). His plans are those of GW Bush's, and you can clearly see that those ideas have not worked!!!!! Give Perdue a chance; she has great ideas for our students; why do you think the NEA sponsors her????? Do you remember that McCrory misspelled "governor" his first day out?

Her PHD in education didnt prevent NC from having a deplorable 30% drop out rate while she sat on the Board of Ed for the last 8 years. Lots of talk, no substance from Bev. I think 8 years is sufficient time to make a difference. We need a change of leadership at both the federal and state level. I dont agree with everything McCrory says but it seems like he's got a plan to fix some of the problems with the state. Bev doesnt really seem to have a plan except go down the same sorry path that Easley took us down. No thanks. Obama-McCrory

Wow! You McCrory supporters give bad tempers and bad manners a whole new zip code: picking your nose, reference to hate groups, cruel reference to a person's face...what's next? Will we see you at a McCain ( or McCrory - same difference) rally saying Democratic supporters are "Arabs"? Yet, just like McCrory who hides behind the RGA negagative ads and says he's "clean", you would call my remarks annoying and immature. Do you know what those words mean? Anyone who states that these emails would change their minds was not a real supporter in the first place. I guess I'll say that McCrory just lost my vote b/c you said I was picking my nose. Gee, I was hoping to get to vote for the referee and not Perdue, who has a PHD in education.

Pat McCrory and myself want to get into raleigh and throw our the corrupt bathwater so to speak. Bev Perdue and Dan Blue have had DECADES to ruin so many things in our state government.

Dan Blue said it is the General Assemblies responsibility to ensure the safety of it's citizens. Will Dan Blue go and apologize to Eve Carson's and the many other families that lost love ones due to the failures in mental healthcare and the probation/crime systems? Nope, he is too busy campaigning for Obama to be worried abour his own district and the state of North Carolina.

To paraphrase one of the posters above, you are quickly converting me to an active McCrory supporter and Perdue opponent, rather than just a disaffected Democrat who simply happened to vote the Obama/McCrory split.

Are you and your compatriots in the campaign deeply pained - as you suggest your Raleigh lobbyist endorsements should cause the other side to be - by the mounting tide of newspaper endorsements for McCrory, many of them following the same split I already voted? I support state employees and acknowledge the power of their voting bloc, but if you want to know the value of the association's endorsement, ask Patrick Ballentine.

I had not intended to repeat my reference to Beverly's own painful-to-see refusal to age gracefully, but you've forced me to point out that a little joke about someone in his own party is hardly the same level of ridiculousness as that Joker face Beverly's grown in the last couple of years. And your little barbs are the very definition of annoying and immature.

I know McCrory and his supporters find it a thorn in the side that all of the sheriffs/police in NC have endorsed Perdue, along with the teachers, nurses, state employees, mayors, etc. Perhaps there is a little wisdom with age, although I heard McCrory turned 50-something the other day, yet he still tries to play the cute boyish charm card...it doesn't work anymore. Now, it's just annoying and immature.
Maybe Sarah Palin will endorse McCrory; after all, he just said she was "hotter in person"...no wonder mature, responsible people endorse Perdue over Playboy Pat.

Think about this...McCrory has been a part of that Washington bunch for years. We need a whole new group in Raleigh, true...but it's not McStory and his Bush mentality. Perdue is by far a smarter, better change than McCrory.
