Rep. Blackwood, This Bill is being proposed to place teachers on the Registry. If the person you mentioned gets a job at the same school after graduation, if they are not a teacher, then it should not apply to them. If they get a job as a teacher then they would will have went to college for at least four years and by that time the person they were dating should have graduated also, unless he is dating a sixth grader. Teachers should be held to the same standard as everyone is a position of trust. Teachers are there to teach not engage in any activity that would place themselves in a position to lose their jobs or be put on the registry.

THE SOVEREIGNTY ISSUE

Reports to the contrary nothwithstanding, no state has yet enacted a sovereignty statute, although several have bills pending before their legislatures. Mainly, these are measures intended to address unfunded federal mandates. Whether they are suitably targeted and justified, or are the misguided efforts of anti-tax zealots, depends on where you hang your political philosophy.

Isnt 'smuggling' of anyone already illegal in NC?

WHEN are they going to declare NC's Sovereignty from the US government, thats the main article right now! SC just did it yesterday and became the 21st state to do so. Its time for NC!

Matthews, North Carolina is in both Mecklenburg County and Union County. The voter registration information for Jacob Curtis Blackwood, Junior lists Matthews and Union County (the county he represents) as where he lives. His website, curtisblackwood.com, states "Union County has been my home since 1973." State Senator Eddie Goodall also lives in Matthews and Union County. He represents both Mecklenburg County and Union County.

He lives in Matthews, which is in Mecklenburg County. I try not to cite the city someone lives in if I don't think the average reader would know where it was.

As of Oct. 31, SEIU had given $1,150,000 to the Democrat Party fund to elect State Candidates.

http://www.app.sboe.state.nc.us/cf_pdf/2008/20081103_70252.pdf

And that's just the tip on the iceberg when it comes to the amount of Union money that NCDP raised this year.

The Unions have played a big part in where the BIG 3 automakers are now. The average costs of labor by the BIG 3 is over $30 a hour more than other automakers in the south including benefits.

Since I get paid by the hour and rely on my company for compensation I understand trying to make as much as you can. That is the American way. But bankrupting your company over this doesn't make any sense. And if the executives let this happen then they share in the blame.

So, No I am not for a bailout of the BIG 3.

I believe that the unions and union organizations do not seem to see the picture and are only a detriment in today's world. Before they were needed for worker safety and compensation. Now they are just for obtaining power and running this country their way through their lackeys.

Let's hope our legislators will do the right thing and stop this corporate welfare to a very successful company that does not need the money. This package will not save jobs in Fayetteville. Under the terms of the current deal, Goodyear can CUT up to 700 jobs and still keep the cash.
