Democrats across this nation and state are AGAINST you investing up to 2% of your Social Security. But then they are for this? Oh come on Democrats, stop saying it is ok for you but not the rest of us. Your arrogance is showing!

Janet Cowell knows what she is doing and will serve this state well.

And for god's sake, there's no incentive for anyone in the Treasurer's Office to screw over anyone's interests, so the partisan-based charges are ridiculous. Richard Moore, DEMOCRAT, took great care of that office, which is why our pension fund is one of the healthiest in the country.

Whining, carping, bleating twits can whine, carp and bleat, but everyone who knows Cowell knows she's super sharp and is doing a great job.

We are going to be over $4 BILLION in debt because of the decisions made the Democrats in this state. After all they are completely in charge and bear ALL responsibility for the current crisis.

This move is extremely dangerous.

The professionals in Raleigh have had a lot to do with all the current problems......giving them more power to do even riskier things seems a contraindication at this point.

Lies? Let me ask some basic question. Are you aware that over 433 trillion cubic feet of natural gas sits off our coast off limits. How about the 38 billion barrels of oil off limits and roughly 1 trillion barrels of shell oil banned? I am not sure what you aversion is to oil but it's a nessecity.

I hear the complaint that it's ten years by some estimates. Will someone then tell me how far away new alternatives are that will get us off oil is? No one is saying we should ONLY drill for oil. We want a long term solution that includes ALL ASPECTS like oil and new alternatives. Sitting here and starving ourselves while the food is in plain site is absurd.

My job puts me in quite a few industrial and small buisnesses and I am seeing a real impact on these buisnesses that are including layoffs. You better open your eyes to what is happening and how Congress is virtually breaking this economy by starving it of it's natural resources.

Shouldn't the press report that those clauses all lies? When politicians blatantly lie to constituents, the press should point that out. Your job is to inform readers, not to simply type down what happens.

I appreciate the due diligence - but as I said, this info appears to be totally irrelevant to the campaign or the position, and that makes it far worse than boring. Of course, you said that word, which I neither used nor implied.

And the bit about frequent letter-writers was not lost on this frequent comment-poster who long ago gave up writing letters to be sliced, diced and discarded by newspaper staff. It's always nice to know where we stand in the esteem of the fourth estate.

Good lord, who cares? I see no relevance to her campaign or the job of labor commissioner in either of these letters, and sense a certain snarkiness in the comment about Dome's experience with multiple-letter submitters. Surely there's something more exciting, like the Randy Parton Theatre suit I heard about on WRAL this morning, to write about?
