This is an unbelievable rediculous survey wirh absolutely no merit whatsoever. Why would a responsible journalist even cosider conducting such a survey? Roy Williams wins easily because he represents a public university and the majority of the people in this state would support UNC, even though they did not attend school there.Furthermore, UNC graduates almost three times as many people as Duke each year and a great percentage of them remain in North Carolina, and would vote for their coach. Come on News and Observer, can you not be more responsible in your foolish surveys?

every one in the state knows that duke is no. 1 and unc is no. 2 when it comes to prestige, acdemics, and overall popularity, ol roy is a bonified , certifided, identifided cheater, check with kanasas if u dont believe it. go duke!!!!!!!!!!!

You forget the disclosure that accompanied the poll. If you read it you would learn that the pollsters admitted that most Duke fans either work for a living or get out of the house once in a while. On the other hand, the UNC fans are so obnoxious that no one will be around them and no one ever calls them. So they were sitting by the phone and were so happy that anyone would call if even a wrong number. The pollsters said the biggest problem with the UNC fans was in the fact that the UNC fans would not hang up but started asking the pollster questions: like, would you be my friend? If they answer on the first ring....it's a vote for UNC.

I am just stating the facts and have no opinion whatsoever.

please watch a press conference the next time a coach K duke squad loses to carolina. he starts out determined to come off with grace but he can't hold it together and ends up making remarks the betray his true evil self.
