History will indict you for repeating in far graver fashion the errors and assumptions that perpetuated the Great Depression. But all your pork pals will be pleased.

He OUGHT to be in JAIL along with the Banking Queen Barney Frank, and Franklin Raines, ALL DEMOCRATS! Raines fleeced $90 MILLION of your money but HE gets a pass cause he's a vile democrat!

HOW will this NC bunch dole out the $$$ on this? To fellow democrats no doubt. CROOKS.

more like NC is looking like they are waking UP in national politics. The crushing defeat handed to liddy and her low-ball campaign along with the new tint of the state speaks well of us.

Edwards would make a great AG......i mean....we let Mccain's infidelity slide....why not edwards?

Sure. Why not? It's not like NC's a joke in national politics anyway, right? Right?

Seems like a pretty easy explanation to me: McCain's got a woman on his ticket.

Re: Has Edwards waited too long?

Yes, there are people quite interested in what John Edwards may have to say about this amazing race for the Democratic presidential nomination. And he is following a good course by waiting for more indications of just where the campaigns of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton are going to finally come down on a number of urgent and vital issues stressed by Edwards as a U.S. senator from North Carolina (1999-2005), as the Democratic Party nominee for Vice President in 2004 and as a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

The frequent bitter carping of some of his critics and detractors notwithstanding, John Edwards is demonstrating that he is not just trying to parlay his impressive vice presidential and presidential campaigns into a short-term opportunity to play personal favorites in the intense competition between Sens. Obama and Clinton in this 2008 Democratic nomination race but instead is more concerned about the fundamental issues and choices involved in the greater debate over future U.S. policies, including both the candidates and the voters, between now and the Democratic National Convention.

Are there really people out there, outside of NC pols and a few high dollar donors, who are waiting for John Edwards to make a move?

Re: Reeves: Edwards' response to Iowa off

With regard to to the first part of Edwards' claim, I think, based on the debate in New Hampshire, you can safely say the message is Edwards and Obama represent change (thus the 1,2 finish) and Clinton represents the status quo.

The second part...eh, I dunno...I think he forgot that in that 1,2 finish, he was actually #2.
