I'd sooner go to one of his $20,000 bar party reverse fundraisers in Charlotte because he's celebrating not having an opponent than get him one mile closer to Raleigh.

Read into that what it is, and please investigate, but hell no. Nowhere near power. He makes bad choices in staff with insatiable appetites and has never met a tab he considers unreasonable; so no Raleigh, please, please, please. No. I'd just as soon not turn this state RED by sending his inept behind to real power. Someone might notice Carowinds is burning, Charlotte is part of this state and Clodfelter's name starts with Clod.

Virginia Foxx has an impressive campaign chest, Iassac...not unlike the 'crackkk football player...

Nesbitt can probably call in some big money favoritism from NC BlueCrossBlueShield to put him into the perch, but the bow tie lobby might get Clods in as he seems to be a royal lieberal elitist...

It would be atypical if the Democrats leading this state government DIDN"T push something ill conceived through (i.e. ethics reform, lottery/education funding, mental health, state employee health plan, probation oversight, highway trust fund...)

The overtaxed citizens of this state have to pay 2% more income tax, and an increased sales tax? Yet our representatives have still found enough money for Hackney's $25 million pier to nowhere, the teapot museum, the ACC hall of fame, Nielsen and Oblingers severance packages, Harrisons over 200k a year salary to not be the head of DPI, and of course Bev Perdue's appeal of that decision on the taxpayer dime. Why do we need someone on the payroll only to oversee stimulus spending? I dont want to hear the taxes are necessary and "it's for the children", because that is a load of crap. Its for their pet projects and covering their tails so they get re-elected.

A surcharge on income tax for everyone is part of the "hope & change" we have been hearing about.

How can the state continue to spend all this money if the taxpayers are not willing to pay more tax? I hope you people are not suggesting that our state leaders are not spending every cent of this tax money wisely !!!!

It's like the old country song that goes: "Why is the fat man dancing while the poor man pays the band?" I think the name of the song was "Tax & Spend."
