Do the new writers of this blog ever review and edit their work before they post? I've seen so many errors it's ridiculous.

"He said the Iraq experience is making him taking a hard look at President Barack Obama's request for more troops for Afghanistan."

I can't believe the paper pays you.

Wake up Congressman. I guess you forgot that evil declared war on us on 9/11. And we did kill Al-Quaeda in Ieaq. But we also helped eliminate a mass murderer in Sadaam Hussein.

It is apparent that there is a group of GOP operatives on the Dome whose full time job is to make negative comments about all Democrats. I can only assume you must get paid by the post; because even postive posts, about which there is no basis to attack, are turned into another negative comment.

The misinformed/corrupted individual who made the previous statement that Senator Hagan doesn't understand science is an absolute fraud. There are many documents and incidents of absolute deception that have yet to be revealed to the public. Thanks to Senator Hagan that day is coming! Jerry Ensminger

This particular area of water contamination stretching back for many decades is directly linked to the PCS Phosphate mining operation pumping 78+mill gal per day which dewaters the Castle Hayne Aquifer, causing subsidence (land sinks). Compound this problem w/ military bases from Norfolk down to Wilmington dumping untold quantities of contaminants into the rivers and ocean (pre EPA days). Heavy metals seep into our ground water, build up in our bodies and then people start getting sick and die off.

Heck no, it wasn't the 'dry cleaners' on the base! It's this huge problem that our govmt just doesn't want to address because of the sheer magnitude of the ramifications from sweeping it under the rug for all these decades.

And Hagan and Burr both know what the real deal is w/ this report. Let's see if our senators step up and do the right thing by our military, as well as all North Carolinians.

The NAS committee has done a careful job of approaching the problem from a scientific perspective. The fact that Sen. Hagan apparently does not understand science, or that some vocal groups don't like the findings, does not change the veracity of the NAS report.
