No, maybe it means Wachovia woke up and began to smell the rat in its own city - that would be Mr. Sarah Palin is Hotter in Person McCrory. Perhaps they are a bit ashamed of Playboy Pat. Sorry, the "bright, shiny" tag belongs to your mayor.

Funny you should mention Wachovia - a quick calculation comparing political campaign donations from Wachovia (NC State Board of Elections website) actually shows that Bev Perdue received at least FIFTEEN percent more in campaign contributions from Wachovia than Mayor McCrory.

Does that make Bev "bright, shiny friends" with Ken Thompson?

Pat would fight as Mayor of Charlotte...for banks, Duke Power, Myers Park Country Club, and any other "bright, shiny object" that he and his "bright, shiny friends" like Jim Black and Ken Thompson could enjoy. Perhaps they could ride the "bright and shiny" McCrory Rail on their merry way to the next elite club where they can enjoy a round or two of golf or a trip to Paris on our dollars!

As mayor of Charlotte for over a decade, why wouldn't McCrory fight for more allocation of state money to Charlotte? Its the job of any political figure to serve their constituents. As mayor of Charlotte, he owed representation to the citizens of Charlotte, not the entire state. As governor, McCrory would fight for all citizens of North Carolina and make sure that money was allocated proportionately and fairly, in contrary to Bev Perdue and the current corrupt favoritism in the state government. Anyone who has driven on I-85 around Concord knows that the state currently does not allocate money fairly.

I live in the smallest county in the state and it is very rural. I think the majority of the highway money should be spent in the areas of the state where it can benefit the most people. Why would anyone want to spend more money where there is less traffic. They should absolutly be at the top of the list for highway money. "I wouldn't put a roof on my garage before I put one on my house".

I'm thrilled to see this ad hitting the air. It's time that NC realizes that McCrory is not for the people. As mayor he's only looked out for the big money crowd. That's why uptown has all the shiny buildings, and the rest of Charlotte is sinking deep in potholes. Charlotte's economy is not diversified (it relies too much on the banks), unemployment is growing, poverty and crime is on the rise, there's little affordable housing, the schools are a mess, and the mass transit McCrory brags about only benefits the uptown crowd (not the people who really need public transportation). There's a lot of people hurting n Charlotte, but McCrory fails to see it. Charlotte is all style and no substance, just like its mayor.

Gosh, I don't think you're divide and conquer strategy will work. It's hard to believe you even continue your negative posts on a blog that says the ad isn't even accurate. I guess it's not that hard to believe, considering Bev's entire campaign is based off of inaccurate attack ads.

As a candidate for House seat 33 I can only comment on the fact that I support Pat McCrory, I have personally donated to Pat Mccrory, and I will be voting for Pat McCrory.

The Democrats do not allow debate, admendments, or open floor votes on just about everthing they do not agree with. They only passed Jessica's Law because it would have been political suicide to delay it any longer than the three years they have.

We do need "REAL CHANGE" here in North Carolina.

...."Bev has been on the Board of Education along with your friends Kathy Taft and others......"

>>

YIKES! A "Kathy Taft" mention. That is one hottie Baby Boomer. Dumpling would never appear in the same photo op with KT .... I disagree w/ pretty much everything Kathy believes but that gal sure is "a looker".

Speaking of photo ops .... I want one of Ditzy Dumpling clogging w/ Randy Parton in Roanoke Rapids .... I vote we refer to Bev as Dumpling as often as possible til November. It can't hurt.

Perdue v. McCrory

I would dearly love a reason to change my mind and vote for Perdue.

I have never voted Republican, and it pains me to think that the day might arrive that I should prefer even a smart, personable, obviously effective GOPer to any Democrat.

But . . . everytime I think of Beverly Perdue I recall her holding up that jar of pennies and it's just omg, icky poo, saccharine gooey, blech~ No one saw her "debate" with Richard Moore one evening long ago (I think the program competed with Jeopardy or something) but he absolutely and yet with considerable restraint whupped her dumpling butt.

So I've pretty much assumed she would refuse to debate McCrory, who needn't be as chivalrous as Moore was (and Moore wasn't *that* chivalrous), which means she'd be absolutely toasted. She's going to get her money without having to expose her vulnerabilities, so why debate?

She has no reason to do so unless there are a lot of people like me out there who really do want "change" (as Obama might say) but would dearly love to vote for her if our consciences would permit. Maybe she could show us something.

Bev is not going to speak out against King and Queen Easley. Everything she does and says is scripted. She is not allowed to go outside the script. She says McCrory is "whining" when he talks about Perude not debating more. That's typical Bev. You will never hear her talk about
Easley, Rand, Basnight and the rest of the gang. They are holding the taxpayers of NC hostage and enjoying a good life. They have a good gig going. They have state employees and teachers duped. Why agree to debates and run the risk of being exposed?
