Elaine Marshall seems pretty comfortable as Secretary of State. She hasn't had a formidible opponent --- ever. But, the DSCC is an instant fundraising source.

Are you complaining because Neal couldn't defeat Hagan or because he ran against her at all?

I see you like straw men.

Here's a few more that suck even harder. No pun intended.

I'm postulating that my problem with Elaine is she might as well be Elizabeth Dole's twin in that glamor shot she shops to media and nobody that hires Mills now has any more chance of winning a statewide Senate election than somebody that hired Mills a year ago for same.

But I get you hate Hagan loud and clear ACCfan. That's the team spirit and exactly what will help defeat Burr in 2010!

And I'm not just saying that because Mills ran Neal's primary campaign against Hagan. But I will add an exclamation because of it!

Are you complaining because Neal couldn't defeat Hagan or because he ran against her at all?

Because it would surely be horrible to have a solid vote for real health care reform from that senate seat with Neal rather than Blue Dog Hagan who has to be begged to represent the people who put her in that senate seat.

But, that said, Hagan had the DC backing and the money so sadly I doubt it would have mattered who was running Neal's campaign.

Did the DSCC forget about her third place finish to Bowles and Blue?

She beat Petty in 1996. And I'll always love her for it.

But having watched her Golden Girls her way through the last decade I have to think she's outclassed by either Lewis or Cunningham in every way that matters when it comes to beating Burr. And I'm not just saying that because Mills ran Neal's primary campaign against Hagan. But I will add an exclamation because of it!

Career politicians breed corruption and lies. Vote them out or don't vote for them in the first place or they and their cronies die in office.

Option one....you win
Option two....you lose

The irony of the entire SEANC/SEIU debacle is that only a select group of the SEANC Executive Director's pawns voted to affiliate with SEIU. The affiliation vote itself was hastily called by then SEANC President Linda Rouse Sutton as all the chips were in place. The vote of the SEANC district delegates was NOT unanimous, but as the Exeuctive Director loves to remind everyone.....it only takes 50% plus one. SEIU and Executive Director Cope must be given credit for their plans to buy General Assembly seats to secure the defeat of G.S. 95-98 that will facilitate collective bargaining. And,if card check passes, organized labor's road won't be as bumpy as the ones we travel to work each day. At this point, Mr. Cope can fulfil his dream of being just like Andy Stern.

Not everyone is dead yet, and the truth usually prevails.
