What does that even mean? When you spew nonsense yet again and nobody responds you think you win?

Can you even find a position with both hands and stick with it? Read your posts in this thread.

Read them.

You claim waterboarding isn't torture, before conceding it is. You claim nobody over your age thinks it is, before you realize you're horribly wrong and backtrack. Then you claim, well I don't care what Burr and McCain think, I'm sticking to my guns, which you then reject in the same post because you no longer condone waterboarding.

The chirp, chirp is the sound of you kicking your own behind by opening your mouth in the first place. No response needed when you've already admitted you're an idiot that will say anything and lost the debate you started.

Whatever your position du jour is, Burr opposes it. And this thread is about Burr, not you.

They just cannot understand that even though daddy and granddaddy left them all that money, other people have to work for a living. They just can't understand the old concept of those who do not work do not get to share in the fruits of other's labor. I believe this concept may be found in the Bible or either the Carolina Journal.....or either the Weekly Auto Trader.

I know it is a hard concept to understand but we must try and educate the liberals. There are rich people. And there are poor people. And, just maybe, there are some in the middle. Maybe.

Firstly , I did not say I necessarily agreed with water boarding as I stated.

The liberals in this country are up in arms about this “torture” called water boarding. There are many angles to look at this issue, the least of which can be the emotional perspective of left.

Meet Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the September 11 “mastermind” and the “victim.” Seriously read this article.

“At a hearing held there released in March 2007, Mr. Mohammed took full credit for the 9/11 attacks and a number of other plots. He also asserted that he had personally decapitated Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. The scope of his confessions led some human-rights advocates to wonder if they reflected the effect of his captivity and harsh interrogation. Other intelligence experts wondered if he were claiming so much to provide cover for former colleagues who might have been involved.”

This segment of the quote is very important in understanding the importance of the use of enhanced interrogation techniques.

The other plots referenced is a “second wave of attacks” in Los Angles.

The CIA resorted to “water boarding” in order to obtain information concerning this quote by Mohammed.

“Soon you will find out.”

The use of water boarding thwarted an attack and saved 93 American lives. Thus, is it the liberals’ position that water boarding to save American lives is not worth it when it comes to Mohammed, a very dangerous man?

Mohammed is not protected under American law nor really should be under the Geneva Convention, a bit outdated in this instance. Why are the liberals making such anti-American claims?

If the Republicans would approach the argument in this manner, it is clear that the liberals are endorsing anti-American sentiments with their emotional propaganda.

While, I do not necessarily agree with water boarding, but it is the governments’ mandate to do what it must to protect the lives of Americans. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, it is your civic obligation to indulge in this notion.

Mohammed should face death in order to retrieve information that will save Americans . It is a sad facet of the world we live in, but remember what Mohammed did to Daniel Pearl. < That is what I call torture!

Remember - “tooth for a tooth and an eye for eye” is the mentality of a Muslim extremist.

Mohammed did not care if he died, why, honestly, do the liberals?

Yet, he is still survived.

We must wake up and face reality.

The facts speak louder than words and I hope this encourages you to help educate to liberal masses.

America is rattled by this controversy amidst the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. With North Korea, Iran, Russia, Venezuela and Cuba getting the “Presidential treatment” and a Department Homeland Security of Napolitano’s capabilities, Americans have legitimate concerns in their fear.

In case you missed it yesterday, the White House decided to take a new photo of Air Force One being accompanied by an F-16 over New York City. Yet they were left scratching their head as to why mayhem ensued and people evacuated building.

We must wonder about this Administration sometimes.

The only social uprising of fear in this country thus far has been caused directly by the White House. At some point America will have to get rid of its “hip” impression of Obama.

Facts are facts. There's no "fair and balanced" discussion of alternative views.

You are just shameless, and I can't imagine hiring a better straw man.

Waterboarding is torture. Your Senator says so. Your Presidential nominee says so. History says so.

Yet, you giggle and LOL and regurgitate something you heard on AM radio like you alone found a new version of reality before telling everyone else to grow up.

He is a politician, firstly, and endured torture of his own, secondly, so it is his agenda to speak out against the issue. The victim ("terrorist" pre-Obama Administration) survived 183 times of water boarding and the information was useful.

During the time that the Geneva Convention was passed - they would have simply laughed at the liberals outcry.

I am pissed about the release of the memos too- it was strictly political in trying to appease the left and it puts our soldiers, my family members, in danger...

Gosh and the rest of the liberals need to grow up - the world is a harsh place and the left's "premise" that we can all just get along is completely false...Muslim verse Western world has been going on since the beginning of the world - do you think that some talking head like Obama will be able to make a difference...NO

Burr 'shocked' by torture report, promises no more

I am proud of Senator Burr and wish we had 99 other senators just like him. I do not care what it takes to keep Americans safe from those idiotic Muslum terrorist.

Burr was "shocked" by the torture report and promised it would not happen again.

[Burr] also said that the torture methods outlined in a recent Senate Armed Services Committee report were "shocking," but they would not happen again.

I guess Richard Burr is a "wimpy liberal feel good woozie" in your book too.

The U.S. ratified the anti-torture convention that requires the prosecution of those who commit torture. This is not optional. It is both a moral duty and a legal obligation. Under our constitution, treaties are the supreme law of the land. If Senator Burr wishes to cover up evidence of torture, then he has violated his oath to preserve and defend the constitution. If the U.S. refuses to honor its treaty obligations, other nations should take all legally appropriate actions to force the U.S. to behave more nobly than its politicians may desire.
