June Atkinson was asked that very question at a Wake County Taxpayers meeting in Raleigh and she again said she was against lifting the ceiling on charter schools. She said she was fearful of creating failing charter schools. Apparently she is not afraid of creating failing public schools.

Hunt Foundation=Democrats=Easley's=Jim Black. Of course they want it in private. Our legislators meet in private to raise our taxes and give away our hard earned taxpayer dollars.

Just like so many other State Government employees under the influence of Democrat politicians. (Oblinger, Nielson, Gerlach, etc.)

She should be fired.

This complete lack of integrity and honesty needs to be dealt with by holding people accountable for their actions. That means employees losing their jobs.

It seems rather strange to preface support for expanding this program nationwide on the basis that not doing so is something we "can't afford." We are smack-dab in the middle of a severe recession exacerbated by unprecedented government spending and still waiting for the hyperinflation shoe to drop. What we really can't afford is another huge government entitlement program supported by confiscatory taxes geared especially for the middle class, no matter how nice it sounds.

were they confused about his qualifications? SLEAZLEY working for education doesnt sound much like 'legal' bidness...it sounds kinda silly for him, but probably a real cushy 'job'...my Gates admiration just fell several notches.

His wife MARY needs to be FIRED from NCSU to save money in the BUDGET ! ! !
