I guess no one reported that this was posted at 4:45pm, and that they more than likley partook later!? Gotta love slanted news AND when people blog about things they technically know nothing about...just sayin'!

Ah. The name Coble in Foxx story threw me.

Any relation to Howard?

Coble inexplicably took to her Gmail account and curiously posted this brazen update, bragging: “Office beers. on taxpayer time. you’re welcome, fightin 5th district.”

I see Courtney Coble's Twitter account just twittered into oblivion.

Think the "appropriate disciplinary action" ends there?

Foxx spokesman Aaron Groer told Shenan: “We are looking into this matter to figure out what happened. Once we’ve established the facts, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.”

Please keep all us teabaggers up to date on this blatant abuse of taxpayer time and money by Virginia Foxx's staff.

Re: Two more Dole votes on min. wage

I think it highlights the differences between the Dem and Rep parties.

Republicans believe that you enhance the economy and quality of life for US citizens by keeping government out of the way of business. Keep payroll costs low for small business so they can succeed and boost the overall economy. Most low-wage workers don't need the money anyway.

Democrats believe that even poor people have to eat and have shelter of some sort. They believe that by increasing the income of low-wage workers, increasing the minimum wage, poor people will have more money to spend on food and housing and other necessities of life. This spending by millions of people will support businesses and boost the overall economy.

So both want good things for people and both want the economy to do well. They just see different paths to get there. It depends on one's own personal experience. I know a young man, 18 years old, graduated from high school in 2008, wants to go to college. But he lives with his mother who for whatever reason got behind on her rent, so he went to work instead of college to catch up the rent payments. He wants to work full-time and more but can only get 25 hours per week work at $7 per hour. That's about $750 per month before taxes. Tax deductions will come to 25% including Social Security and Medicare. He needs more income. His is not an isolated case. From my perspective the minimum wage needs to be increased. He needs $10 per hour more than the CEO of Blue Cross needs $40 million per year. That's the way I see it.

Elizabeth Dole and I do not see things the same way. From my very low vantage point, I can see things that she cannot see from her high and mighty perch. She doesn't have a clue as to what it is like to struggle to pay the rent and buy food. She should have retired ten years ago. That's the way I see it.

Under the Dome might be the worst excuse for reporting I have ever seen in my 48 years of being.

The staff claims to be unbiased and fair...yet most of the reporting lately is not even close.

I would love to see the N&O on this blog do a report on how many times Kay Hagan voted lock step with the Dems of Marc Basnight and Tony Rand.

I would love for the Under the Dome to explain the full method, without any opinion, just facts, that Kay Hagan claims to balance the budget five years in a row.

I would love to for the N&O to do some research on what the bills that Dole voted and fully the explain the impact of each bill and what it really means instead of throwing their two cents into the mix.

What about Chuck Schumer and Chris Dodd's involvement in the Financial Crisis?

In other words....do some real reporting and stop playing reporters...Ryan I know your JMOC professors at UNC would be disappointed in your inability to be truthful, but it is ok because hopefully you will lose readers from your undue assaults...and mostly unfounded.

Hopefully, North Carolinians can see that Ryan and the rest of the News Observer is in the bed with Hagan.

As I said on another thread she was on the NC Senate floor last week on Thursday. Her votes are a matter of public. She has recorded excused absences this week in Senate voting and much of the NC Senate work is done away from the Senate floor.

did she fight for the no forced annexation bill in the NC senate???

does she fight for property rights?

does she fight for individual rights?
