I thought bkrueger story was very appropriate. If "changing the world" was a criteria for every article or every inane comment board babble there would be none of either.

I love Mr. Jensen's quote; he just had to get one last dig in. I am shocked PPP released such results. It defies the Senator's comment he never "won a poll nor lost an election."

So you're suggesting we feed all Republicans to hogs? Yikes!! are there enough left to do the hogs any good? and would they, the hogs, even want to eat the Republicans?
My question on this topic is simple: if Sen. Helms is being honored for "standing up for his principles" isn't that just what Sen. Boseman is doing as well?

Julia postures a lot.

She got into some really hot water with the black population in New Hanover County during the last run for the roses because of her use of a certain "verboten" word that would have had a Republican drawn, quartered, and fed to the hogs.

I suspect she still has some pretty good sized political debts to pay before she makes full restitution and gets final absolution from The Wilmington Journal.

Let's face it, the Helms' team was smart. People like to vote for people with short names. It's very hard to get elected with any time of long name.

The perfect political name is "Bob Dole". No wonder he was elected so many times to the U.S. Senate, tho it shows that voters are more discriminating for President.

Another of my heroes has a great name: "Jack Kemp". Short and sweet.

Zach can waste his own time with all the hate. It only hurts him, not anyone else. (Don't give into hate, it only leads to the dark side.) Sometimes hate can eat you up. Many people may call Helms a hater. He was probably a racist, as he was from an older generation, but he did not hate.

Coble inexplicably took to her Gmail account and curiously posted this brazen update, bragging: “Office beers. on taxpayer time. you’re welcome, fightin 5th district.”

I see Courtney Coble's Twitter account just twittered into oblivion.

Think the "appropriate disciplinary action" ends there?

Foxx spokesman Aaron Groer told Shenan: “We are looking into this matter to figure out what happened. Once we’ve established the facts, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.”

Please keep all us teabaggers up to date on this blatant abuse of taxpayer time and money by Virginia Foxx's staff.

It is important to note that Senator Helms' vote was before the controversial statements in the news that were made by Sotomayor.

No, it's important to note that had Jesse Helms lived in the YouTube generation like Sotomayor, he'd still be dead, but you never would have heard of him, although she'd still be the nominee for SCOTUS.

Sotomayor is a lock. She's in. Elections have consequences. To paraphrase Richard Burr from 2005, up or down Baby. Up or down.
