A movie about political inflence in NC State Government:

"By day I run the state and then it's 'Nights in Rodanthe"

Bev Perdue - Jones Street Movie

Given everyone avoiding questions around Perdue's past with Glover makes me believe that the rumors about Perdue & the SHP that have floated around for years might just be true.

If Perdue's tenure as Governor continues to turn into a bigger soap opera than either Edwards, Easley or Sanford, then Hollywood or Wilmington studios will for sure make it into a movie. The actress they will likely choose to play Beverly is Florence Henderson (mirror images of one another). Florence is the only one of the two that actually did grow up poor. And they probably both feel the same age right now: 74

Transparency? Only when it is convenient. This promotion is strictly political. Look and Glover's lack of experience. SHP is full of corruption.
What is the connection between the guv and Glover? Hey...Protzman why don't you liberals demand transparency. You only pick and choose your issues.

The citizens of North Carolina have become accustomed to these type stories coming from Raleigh.

We are fixated on the continuing soap opera and need a weekly installment. This installment seems to be just another along that long road to the pits and depths of the other side……. the dark side of intrigue, suspense and chicanery. It is just plain good ol’ fashioned entertainment for the working families who can no longer afford cable or the movies.

I’m thinking we’re ready for a “Jones Street Reality TV Series.” This story makes it appear that someone has been booted off the island before they were ready to leave. North Carolina is fast gaining a reputation…….maybe not the reputation we wanted but it’s nice to be noticed. Stay tuned for another episode. I’m sure it’s coming soon.

Maybe the film studios who are looking tax breaks will make a movie about North Carolina politics. Maybe "Borat, Part Deux."

Too many questions are being raised as a result of Perdue, Young, Wilson, Glover and Chrissy's no comments.

Why did Glover "retire" 6 months before receiving a great pension for working with the SHP for 30 years? And why was he replaced with someone from New Bern with limited administrative experience and nominal educational background. What's the history between Glover and Perdue?

I agree Montcalm, what has happened to Beverly's promised transparency? As if she wasn't creating enough problems for herself already. This is not the time for no comments!

Where to even begin?
Is there a criminal investigation going on? Hey, Attorney General's Office are you there? How about the SBI,FBI,Federal Prosecutor, or the Governor's Office are you all there-knock knock? And does the Highway Patrol want to continues to flush it's reputation down the toilet which seems to be an ongoing event over several years now.

Do you suppose that since the highway patrol delivered a "package" to Easley that Easley will now do a little editing of records and then they will suddenly reappear?

This is so sad. Easley will be glad to have this guy take the fall for him. This guy was probably honored to be on the "inside" with Easley, and he should go ahead and come clean with everything he knows. He can rest assured that Easley won't be there for him. And, the highway patrol needs to tell the citizens of this state why public records for 2005 are missing. This is kind of like the blank minutes on Rosemary Woods' tape.

And, I agree with junkie...why would anyone hire this guy for anything? He was a barely engaged governor who apparently spent more time hunkered down woodworking or cadging off of rich friends. Sadly, that will be his legacy.

I'll bet we agree on lots of things. I wonder if I'm drifting your way or vice versa. Or maybe we're both so fringed out that we're meeting on the other side of the middle.
