Re: NRA endorses Jones

Yea, as as a long time NRA member I'm wondering what is wrong with the NRA? No follow up with Joe to see if he ever got the questionaire. Sending out a document like that with no tracking, what's with the NRA these days? Did the NRA run out of my dimes to make a phone call? Can't staffers read Joe's Website or call his campaign? Every NRA member in the 3rd District should be wondering about whats being done on their behalf by the NRA. We expect straight shooting not blind blazing away. Can you imagine a career officer, Infantryman, Ranger and Paratrooper being against the second ammendment or guns? Unbelievable!

If you and Mr. Jones support quitting in Iraq, then what is your plan to fight Islamic Extremism?

Re: Gingrich helps Jones raise $70k

I was an attendee at this event and there as only about 65 people there, not the 160 the Jones camp reports. Conversely, in Wayne County (the same night) Joe Mclaughlin had over 200 people at his event and has continued his momentum.
Maybe primary voters should ask Mr. Jones why he is endorsed by the Ultra Liberal Organization the ACLU. Mr. Jones pretends to be a conservative, but why did he vote to impeach Dick Cheyney? Or, why did Mr. Jones vote against the Troop Surge in Iraq that would help to protect our men and women fighting the jihad in Iraq? Why has Mr. Jones voted for 46 of 50 earmarked bills in this session that included two tax increases? Why didn't Mr. Jones have the leadership that it took to say that "Earmarks are bad for the American people?"
If Mr. Jones had his way we would cut and run in Iraq rendering our investments there meaningless.
Personally, I stand with Joe Mclaughlin. Joe is a true conservative that would not abandon his party or the Troops of the United States of America who are defending our country. Mr. Jones bemoans the 4,000 lives we've lost there in the last 6 years to prevent terrorism, but he forgets that we lost 3,200 people in about 45 minutes on 9/11/2001. Fighting these extremists in the Middle East will require leadership that understands this initiative. I encourage everyone in district 3 to check Joe Mclaughlin's website, Joeforcongress.com
Early voting starts April 17th. Please help me send this liberal congressman back to Farmville where he belongs.

Re: McLaughlin poll shows tighter race

Well, what do you know, it seems like a Feb 7th Poll was kept out of the news until now. Wonder what that's about after all the stuff some weeks back about polling? This poll from the McLaughlin Campaign is more like what I'm hearing in Eastern North Carolina's 3rd District.

Good for Walter. People were saying the same thing about Ron Paul being in a tough fight until he crushed his challenger by 3-1. Hope Walter does the same thing to Joe Schmo on May 6.

That sure is not what I'm hearing as I travel around the 3rd District and talk to other Republicans. Don't know who National Research was talking to and how much it cost, but hope that Jones paid for this one from his Campaign Fund and not taxpayer dollars!

Well Paul won his primary 2-1 last night so I'd hardly say his wings were clipped. It's been 8 years of Bush so it can't still all be Clinton's fault and I didn't see Bush challenging Rumsfeld's assertion that the size of the military was inadequate right up till the day he fired him. Bush had 8 years to rebuild the military and has instead left it a hollow shell, not to mention millions of state tax dollars worth of military equipment in Iraq leaving us to pick up the bill. This war has been a disaster for the nation and the Republican Party because we abandoned our limited foreign policy principles of Robert Taft and invested in Wilsonian pipe dreams that has left Hamas in power in Gaza, Mubarak watching his back due to the emboldened members of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Iraq fixing to fall into Iran's lap all because Bush couldn't wait to take out Hussein.

Paul, Gilchrest, Jones all the same, circling birds slowly going down one at a time. Guess that the Surge is working at home too. John McCain may have wider tail feathers than the clipped wing three above. If it hadn't been for Hillary's bed-buddy Bill slashing the military, we would have not have needed Blackwater and others. Guess if McCain gets in Jones would really be on the outside if he could squeeze out a win. Why, he could set a record in Years Without Clout for a Republican District!

What a joke all of this criticism of Walter Jones is. I despise the ACLU and it's agenda but Jones and those who oppose arbitrary government spying on Americans are dead right in the opposition to amendments that shield phone companies who turn over our records to the government. This isn't a right vs. left issue it's liberty vs. tyranny. And while I'd never vote for Mr. Adames I'm glad he's standing up to Blackwater because we don't need private/corporate armies doing the fighting that ought to be done by a fully funded and supported military.

Just like Ron Paul served up his neocon opponent last night I'm hoping Walter Jones sends Joe back to the farm and actually try to find an individual thought that didn't spring from the brow of the Bush Beltway crowd that has ruined this Party and threatens to ruin the country.

Marshall,
Dead wrong, dead duck. You just keep on flying low with that left-wing ACLU flock. You'll just circle the decoys and get shot down by Joe McLaughlin in the Fall. Honk, Honk!

Hi wildgoose...
Marshall Adame here..
From your comment, I deduce you have never been in the military, a police officer, a firefighter, an emergency 1st responder of any kind, and you have never been to Iraq, or Afghanistan.

Your writing is far to immature for you to actually be an adult.
Your articulation would seem to imply that you are probably a kid.
In all likelihood you have never been out of the United States of America and perhaps even out of North Carolina.

Because you do not have the dignity to use your own name when attacking me, I would suggest that you may be, in all probability, also a coward.

Actually no. I'm talking about Marshall Adame, the retired Marine who served his country honorably in two wars, whose two sons are currently in Iraq, one of whom has been wounded in action.

Peace.
